    Hello All.

I was wondering if anyone has received their season tickets as of yet or heard anything about them? I haven't heard a thing.

Same here. I was told to expect them during the week.

I was at the stadium Saturday checking out the friendly against Barry. At halftime I went over to the office to see if my son's jersey had come in yet, and Omar was in the office cranking them out. He told me that they were going to start sending them out on Monday, so presumably we'll have them by the end of the week barring anything unforeseen. I totally forgot to ask him how sales were going so far this year though.....

I've been asking constantly. The best I can get is that sales are better this year when compared to the same time last year. We very well should top 1,000 total sales again, but I'm not optimistic about doubling sales. Maybe 1,500 would be a do-able goal this year.

Maybe we'll hear more after April 1st.

Called the front office today at lunch. The person I spoke with said that they were literally at the post office at that moment being sent out. I then asked if my order was put through since I have not received emails or any notification. I was told that they are using a new system and that some people got the emails while others did not... but it was confirmed that I am good to go! ROLL ON APRIL 7TH!

Well, I wasn't able to catch the show live, but just got done listening to the podcast. Great stuff by the guys as usual! I was very disheartened by Mr. Robbie's refusal to say anything at all telling about season ticket sales. That leads me to believe they are probably not going anywhere near as well as they would like. We can't be yet another franchise that drops way off in Year Two. We desperately need some advertising in the market. I like the youth initiative, and I think it does help attendance to some degree, but the only way to really build a core fanbase you can build out from is season tickets. Good to hear the team will be benefiting more financially from the arrangement at the stadium this year too.

We really need to get the average attendance well up over 4,000 this year, and really 5,000+ would be ideal. We really need to help get the team in the public eye. Wear your Strikers gear around town. I really like the idea of some kind of targeted marketing at FAU. If the team can't or won't do it, maybe you supporters can find a way to make some inroads there. We really need bigger crowds if the team is going to be able to be sustained long term. And of course Fernando echoed last night what a lot of us have said before - if people show up and support the Strikers in large enough numbers, MLS will come here. Be it through Traffic, or someone else. They want to be in this market. If we show them 7,500 - 10,000 are willing to show up for D2, somebody will be convinced to try and take this team to MLS.

Finally got my tickets yesterday. Switched to GA from reserved for a few reasons. Did they stick with the color/graphic/themed ticket print similar to last season for those that have reserved seats?

Yes, but you've got until Friday. I can't see it being much later than that.

Got mine last Friday. To the person that asked about the reserved tickets being on the nice "nostalgic" cardstock this year, the answer is no. I really liked those last year, but in a year of budget cutbacks, this isn't surprising and it really isn't a big deal. Would it have been nice to be able to hold onto a nice looking ticket from my first Strikers/Rowdies matchup since I was a kid? Absolutely! But it won't be the end of the world. I certainly hope we see a nice crowd out at the Stadium on Saturday, bigger than last year's opener. Weather forecast calls for perfect conditions. Anyone heard any whispers on an estimated crowd?

Maybe. Passover evening is Friday evening. In my experience many Jews celebrate then and don't do much the next evening. Plus, sunset is 1942. The less observant may fudge a bit to attend. It may have a marginal affect. I honestly can't see much more than that.

And our dinner doesn't start until like 9PM.

Its keeping me from going at least

Being up against a potentially meaningful Panthers game could also create a problem. I'm not sure whether the fact that it's not on TV is a good thing or a bad thing.

We're not used to hearing or thinking this about the Panthers this late in the season, are we? Are the Marlins also playing in the new stadium that night? That might have an effect. We'll just have to take our chances and pass the word as best we can.

I checked with the wife about Saturday's Passover dinner. We usually have my son & his family here that night. No news about that right now. Hopefully I'm not forced into a decision a day of so in advance...:(

    We'll see.

They're at Cincinnati on Saturday night (at 7). MLB usually gives teams opening a stadium the Opening Night game to showcase it, then a week on the road to adapt to any problems.

Good. A live Strikers game is better that a Marlins TV game any time. At least for Strikers fans. It may be different for Fusion fans...

Hopefully the Panthers can either win or lose in OT tomorrow night vs. the Caps. Getting at least 1 point would win them the division and render Saturday night's regular season finale meaningless.
