Well, I tried to change back on topic but commented right after burning_phoneix. Also I don't believe I used the word Iran in my post. As for Oman, I think they'll fizzle in this round. They haven't been a side to impress me in the last round (after the couple of games I watched) and Saudi would have made the qualification much harder. So I'd have to predict they won't get more than 6 points this round. What groups do you guys want to see your respective country get? For me: Australia Iran Uzbekistan Qatar Oman 1) great 1998 rematch 2) Iran- Uzbek is always an entertaining game 3) We have to beat Qatar eventually (even if they have a Fifa lobby) 4) I want Dejagah to score on Al Habsi
I think no matter how you arrange the teams both groups are going to come out roughly the same strength.

I'm gonna go with your group. South America will def'n finish last. Oman won't be a challenge either. UZB and AUS will be interesting matches.
So by your logic, it is going to be a three team race? Are you kidding me? ..there is no easy team to beat in the fourth round. Although with that group, Uzbek and iran would fight for second place with uzbek prolly finsihng second..but anything can happen.
I would still take Oman over Qatar any day. Iran is on a roll, lets see what they do in the first two games. See if they set the tone in their group. Qatar will get feasted on and will be last in their group.
In my opinion, the best possible group for us would be: Australia Iran Uzbekistan * Oman Lebanon * I rate Uzbekistan higher than Iraq. But given the fact that five of their starters will be suspended in their first home match against the Pot 2 team, they would be the more ideal team for us in this case.
Qatar is a tougher team than you may think. They have something most Asian teams lack, clinical finishing upfront. I think Qatar will be serious contender in the next round.

The Vegas people could use him actually. His predictions would move the odds instantly in the other direction.
It has only been a day but i hope you have not forgotten the bet. I hope more Iraninas get into this because its like cleaning up a forum. Again, there was nothing in that bet. It was obvious from the start that no one was serious about it..I only do serious bets. But I'll give it to you guys, I wont post in Any Asian Thread Starting Today till the end of round 4..Save For the Philippines thread and saudi threads.
