Not too shabby for a Wednesday! Got my tickets for this Saturday, I wish I could take time off work to make the Wednesday games, but I just can't make the 2 hour drive in time after work.
For everyone thats planning on coming down for the Desert Cup, join our tailgates. We'll start tailgating at 3 PM this Saturday and next Wednesday, & 2 PM on March 3. http://www.facebook.com/events/115195851941736/
Had great seats last night, even though it ended 0-0 PUMAs clearly had the better chances, and the Red Bulls did well to keep them out. I heard attendance was around 20K
Yeah my "heard" was the ticket guy in the front, so he probably didn't know. Very lively crowd and a great atmosphere none the less.
Cooper was a total waste of space out there, he did hit the monitor that was 50 feet over the corner flag . Keel looked pretty strong at the back though, considering what was coming at him, he did pretty well. Did you see the Red Bull parachute guys? That was nuts. They flew in right over our seats.
The parachute guys was the highlight. Backe is terrible. He has to go. That team underachieves and is a mess.
I said it all last season, you can't be given all the opportunity and means that Backe has and under perform like he has and not get fired. They're clearly missing Rodgers up front (as he has had more visa issues) Cooper is NOT the answer. I thought McCarty did well too.
Most of the game was end to end, PUMAs had the much better chances and just couldn't finish, don't know who the RB were trialing in goal, but he made a few nice saves, an improvement over Rost for what it's worth. Henry looked on form, but his team mates weren't giving him options. Cooper looked beyond useless. There was the awesome parachute guys thing that we were discussing. A very intense atmosphere, drums, brass band etc. and $10 beer.
I think I saw you tonight, Union jersey selling memberships? I was the short guy sayin $15 was too much for free beer.
