From Kensington you can get a tube on the Districtc Line to Westmister, from there you can take the Jubilee line to London Bridge. From London Bridge you take 5 minute overground train to South Bermonsdey station, which is a 5 minute walk from the ground. There aren't many pubs left too close to the ground, a lot have closed down in recent years. There are plenty of nice pubs around London Bridge though, so it might be a good idea to drink there. Regarding tickets, there is a slight possibility that they will decide to make the game members only to prevent Cardiff fans sitting in the home ends. Yes, I realize we are not headed into the garden spot of London but I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm originally from Pittsburgh so I know a thing or two about rough neighborhoods. Frankly that's where all the fun can usually be found. Thanks for the directions to the match. It sounds complicated but we can manage. I wonder, could we just take a cab??? Regarding tickets-If they go on sale to the general public (which according to the website will be 2/18) does that mean I can buy them without becoming a member? Is it truly a general public sale, anyone can buy them regardless of membership. BTW you guys have been amazingly helpful. You're helping me so much.
Yeah, it does sound a bit complicated but I'm sure as long as you make sure to plan the journey properly you won't have too much trouble. Of course, you could always get a cab, it just depends if you're willing to pay for it. If the tickets are on general sale then anyone can buy one, you don't need to be a member. I'd recommend that you purchase them ASAP to avoid missing out.
I just ordered my tickets for the Millwall/Cardiff City match. My seats are in the Dockers Stand lower. I think these are good seats. Who knows the stadium well enough to tell me? Also, I bought them as "collect." I can only assume this means I'll pick them up on the day of the match. Any input would be greatly appreciated. And I promise these will be the last of my stupid questions. I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You collect your tickets from the ticket office outside the West stand, the Dockers (East) stand is on the opposite side. If the atmosphere is anything like it was on Saturday (even though we lost) it will be a great experience for you.

There aren't that many pubs around the ground anymore. If you're coming via London Bridge it's probably worth stopping off for a drink there, as there are plenty of decent pubs in the London Bridge/Borough area. It's always verly lively around there. Last time I was up that way I drank in the Bunch of Grapes which is nice little pub.

I am coming over to England in early February with 4 friends and we want to catch the West Ham / Millwall match. Can anyone give me advice on how to get tickets? We have heard everything from West Ham not selling to people who have not bought tickets before, to West Ham require joining the Academy. We just want to go to the match, and will pay a premium if need be (within reason).
I have a few questions re the Arsenal Tottenham match on Feb 26. I'll be in London at the end of February, and I'm a Tottenham fan. I checked out the price of tickets, and I don't think I can afford to attend the Arsenal-Tottenham match, much as I would like to go. This is a huge rivalry, and both teams are in the hunt, not to mention Henry playing for Arsenal on loan, so the tickets are at a premium. Also, the game is at the Emirates, and I hear that conditions for away fans are not so hot. But first question, just in case: anyone know how to get a ticket to this match for less than GBP 150? Second, assuming I can't get a ticket, will the game be shown live in pubs? Third, anyone know a good pub to watch this game with other Tottenham fans who are passionate but not rabid? I tried to Google about watching games live in pubs, and what I've learned so far is that pubs have subscriptions so they can show games, but they are generally prohibited by Sky Sports and ESPN subscription contracts from showing matches live between 2 and 4 in the afternoon. Of course, the Gunners-Spurs game is at 1:30 in the afternoon. Only way to get tickets legitimately is through the Spurs away scheme. If it's anything like the Arsenal's, you're probably SOL as you will need to have lots of credits built up to get close to purchasing a ticket for the derby. You can always try scalpers and the like but it will be very expensive. I had a spud mate who got me tickets to see your lot play the spammers at white hart lane once but away tickets to the north london derby are much harder to come by
All, I will be heading to London from May 12 to May 15. Was hoping to catch the Fulham-Tottenham match, as I am a huge Dempsey supporter. There will be 3 of us together, and it is my understanding that it is hard to get 3 tickets together. Any advice as how to secure that many tickets together? Thank you in advance.
not likely. you may be able to find three together through some online tout (scalper), but you'll pay way - waaaaaaaaaay - over the top for them, and even at face value, they're stupidly expensive. add to that the fact that they will, technically, be illegal tickets, there's the distinct possibilty that you'll pay an obscene amount for tickets that may not even get you into the grounds. for example, if some fella has his tickets stolen (or just sells them and reports them stolen), he can call the club and get them re-issued, then when your (scalped) ticket gets scanned, you're flagged and denied entry (or worse). i'm not suggesting this is common, but i do know someone to whom it's happened. not fun. i'd highly recommend against tickets obtained from anyone but the club. as to getting tickets from the club, go to their website and check the onsale dates. tickets go onsale to members for ten days prior to going on general sale. often times matches will sell out without ever going on general sale. fulham being a london derby, and the last game of the season to boot, i'm not sure they'll go onsale to non-members at all, in which case, you're looking for something else to do with your afternoon. at any rate, you can monitor sales through the ten day 'members only' period, and be able to tell what (if any) is available come the general sale date. if any remain, they'll probably be just single seats here and there - in other words, three together seems very unlikely. moreover, once they go on general sale, they won't be there long. so ... what you'll want to do is: on the evening before they go on general sale, see what's available. if there's anything you want, create an account on the site, so you'll be ready to purchase when they go onsale. the ticket office (and website purchasing) opens at 9:30am london time (4:30am eastern? i've lost track of the difference with the recent daylight savings stuff), so you'll want to be awake, online, and at the site, ready to make your purchase as soon as you can. get your tickets in your 'cart' as quickly as you can and move through the process without dicking around ... the reason being that once you've selected your tickets, if you've not purchased them within so many minutes (20?), you'll be logged out - without knowing it, even. then when you go to pay, you're out and you have to start again. for some bigger matches, that amount of time can make the difference between getting a ticket and not getting a ticket. at any rate, it will almost surely mean (if you've picked the best seats available) you've lost the specific ticket(s) you wanted, and will have to select from others. i don't know how helpful that's been, as 1) i'm very doubtful that you'll get three tickets together, and 2) i'm not even optimistic that they'll go on general sale, at all. if it weren't the last match of the season, i'd like your odds alot more. and if there's still alot to play for - that is, if it's a match that will determine whether or not we finish 4th, or ahead of the arse - they'll be even more remote. still, keep an eye on it, as you might have a chance.
pookspur, I appreciate your candor. Assuming that there are no general tickets remaining, are there any legitimate resale sites (e.g., Stubhub) where I would be able to find tickets. One of the only reasons for going to London was to see a match and I would love to get my hands on the Tottenham game (or even Chelsea). Thanks for the help.
Doesn't Fulham have a "neutrals" section. I would suspect those would not be made available to the club, but I could be wrong on that.
Fulham away tickets have yet to go on sale. So I may have to explore that route. I just called Tottenham, and ALL home tickets have been sold out for the Fulham game. So, just as pookspur suspected, general on-sale tickets never became available. Thank you all for the help & if there is any other advice, please send it my way.
looks like i could've saved myself a bit of time by checking the onsale dates, myself. it's usually less than a month pre-match before they go on general sale, so it didn't occur to me that they'd be sold out already. anyway, i know nothing of fulham's away sales procedures ... but i'd be highly surprised if any will be available to non-season ticket holders. it shouldn't be as big a match for fulham as it might be for spurs, so maybe there won't be as much demand; but it's still a london derby, and really, i just can't see it. that's no reason not to check it out, of course. i once dealt with the charlton athletic ticket office, and the young lady there was quite sympathetic to an american (clearly for the home team) trying to get into a man united match at the valley. she pulled some strings and got me into the east stand of a sold out match ... and it was down to nothing but simple diplomacy. i (as pleasantly as possible) explained my situation, and she helped me out. it wouldn't hurt you a bit to speak with someone at FFC, explain that you're an american fulham fan whose dates in london are set in stone, and simply inquire as to whether there's any way of getting into this one. again, i'm hardly optimistic ... but sometimes these folks have a bit of leeway. for what it's worth, if you're going to be pulling for dempsey/fulham, you'll want to be sitting with their support, anyway. cheering a fulham goal, for example, amongst a stand of yids might not be in your best interest, to be honest. as to sites where you might obtain a valid match ticket ... well, i can tell you that they certainly exist. but i don't know what they are; and again, scalping is illegal over there, so you will be getting it illegally, and you can't be certain you'll see the match until once you've gotten through the gates. ... oh, and you'll pay way over the top - not that this should be prohibitive. if it's a once-in-a-lifetime trip to london, and you're only chance to see a topflight english footy match ... go for it. but it's risky, and pretty poor value, objectively speaking. best of luck to you ... but unless someone at FFC does you a big favor, i don't see this one working out. a better plan of attack is to put a quick/cheap trip together for yourself in the fall. you can see lots of footy over a long weekend without even leaving london, if you plan well - and those can be great fun. and i know, as i do it every year.
Thanks for the great advice. I am going to call the ticket office and see what I can do. Hopefully, I can charm my way into the match. It is not indispensable that I sit in the Fulham section, even though the main reason for me going to the game would be to see Clint Dempsey (and possibly his final game with Fulham). I have been to a few international matches, but never to an EPL game and was hoping to catch the great atmosphere at White Hart Lane. I am trying to see if "friends of friends" know of anyone first, but if all else fails I will make the calls and see what happens. For me, going to this game would be a dream come true. Thanks again.

I plan on being in London during the weekend of October 27-28 and would like to attend a game (two tickets), but notice that the only Premier League games in town appear to be Chelsea x ManU and Arsenal x QPR. I assume that the Chelsea game would be nearly impossible. Would that also be the case for Arsenal x QPR? I suspect so, but thought it would be worth seeing what you all think. Alternatively, I'd be fine with a lower division game. My London club geography may be off, but I think the only local game that weekend is Millwall x Huddersfield. Would that be a reasonable option? I haven't looked closely yet at League One fixtures, but that would be ok if that's all I can get. Are there any different considerations for tickets for lower division clubs in the London area?
