Well I should have qualified my earlier post by saying we have improved a lot during that time but it seems more like status quo when you relate it to how hard we've been going at it and in comparison to Japan's strides.
everytime I imagine our KNT playing, I picture a Korean squidward roaming the sidelines. no offense to our 감독님
Some of the comments/gifs/pics had me lmao, but this thread had too much quality to turn to crap. Mods, please fix up..
Thread cleaned, and troll is redded. Lets move on. Please do not feed the troll(s).I handed out infractions to all members involved. If this happens again, I will request a direct yellow.
Not a bad interview. A little bit on the optimistic side... and i thought it was funny when asked to pick his starting XI he said Yeommy and YBGR would be on the wings?? http://kr.sports.yahoo.com/news/soccer/view?aid=2012011519182290108
Wynalda is a d0uche but his comments are pretty spot on... and perhaps relevant to k-league (e.g. scheduling) as well... http://thebiglead.com/index.php/201...ynalda-takes-a-hatchet-to-mls-landon-donovan/
Interesting snippets but I don't get how he's so damn boring on TV w/ zero charisma but on print seems a different animal.
yeah Skim...I almost opened it up because of that. you look up douche in the dictionary and its got a picture of Wynalda waving at you. Im not lying....I put it on mute everytime he's on tv. Its like nails to a chalkboard.
Might just be a matter of time...He's not as good as Dejan/FC Seoul though is he? http://www.therepublic.com/view/story/8f31027e70f6496197bb092e59e83ab2/SOC--South-Korea-Nationalized-Player/
no hes not a scorer like Dejan. i wouldnt be opposed to it on racial grounds but from a footballing standpoint i dont see where he would fit besides the bench.
Choi Gang-hee loves a traditional #9 like Radoncic who can play with his back to goal. Then again, he's not much better than other big forwards in the K-League. He would be a back-up at best.
How would you rate Radoncic, gambeta? I don't watch enough K-league to be familiar with his style of play, but he hasn't been a standout in the few times I've seen him on the pitch. If he does make it into KNT, would he be a reliable backup for LDG as a traditional #9?
i would rate Kim Shin-wook much higher but its tough cause Radoncic missed more than half the season. Radoncic had a good season though the year Seongnam went all the way.
Radoncic < Kim Shin-Wook at this point in time. However, I do agree that we don't know how his form will be.... also KSW is much younger. I'd actually much rather play JDW up top as the back up striker but if both JDW and PJY aren't the kind of players that Choi Kang Hee likes.... edit: sorry, meant to say Radoncic > KSW.... so sleepy
Dejan came to Korea the same year that Rah-don-chi-chi started his continuous residency... but too bad he can't speak Korean.
The fact that Choi Gang-hee's system requires a lanky CF may work to his advantage, but he's far from a game changer and is clearly inferior to some of K-League's best forwards including Lee Dong-guk who is a limited player himself. I rate Radoncic as an average K-League forward who can be a serviceable back-up at best for the national team if used properly. But to be fair to Radoncic, comparing him to Kim Shin-wook is unfair as they're two different players. Radoncic is a ball winner in the air and is at his best when playing with his back to goal whilst utilizing his physique. Kim Shin-wook, as shown in the K-League playoffs last season, excels in transition despite his size and is better when facing the goal.
