I just read about the possible Oswald suspension and it said he will miss the game vs America. Does anyone know any info on the match?
there is a friendly with USA in feb? is it in US? i would love to see italy NT for first time ever but i doubt they'll bring it to LA, it'll be in east coast cuz of the italians there
I highly doubt it's club America. If you check out football Italia and read the article about prandelli suspending oswaldo it says we play America in feb. i would highly doubt it would be in the USA and I doubt it would be in the east due to the cold weather here.
To most of the world America does not mean (necessarily) the USA. football-italia is a British rag and as I spend most of my existence ignoring the UK I honestly don't know if they use America as a synonym for the USA.
Mostly www.fiorentina.it and www.firenzeviola.it but I look at football-italia.net quite a bit as it formats really well on my phone.
Look what I found. According to Greg Seltzer at "No Short Corners", the US MNT is set to face Italy on February 29th in Genoa. http://watchsocceronline.blogspot.com/2011/11/us-mnt-to-play-italy-on-february-29.html
as if theyd go to america to play in that time of the year especially against a club side lol its commonsense.
Prandelli, whose side will face America in a February friendly, will now reward the player for his act of honesty. That is from football Italia today
Hmmm Im all in for giving Di Natale another chance, but really he never does anything for the National Team http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2011/12/27/2819895/mario-balotelli-and-antonio-di-natale-will-start-for-italy

http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2011/12/30/us-take-italy-february-29-friendly-genoa "Leap Day match to benefit flood victims, details still being finalized" "We’ve been in discussion with the Italian Football Federation about a friendly on Feb. 29 and are working through the final details," USMNT spokesman Neil Buethe told MLSsoccer.com on Friday afternoon. "We hope to be able to officially announce the match in the near future."
The FIGC has confirmed today that it will be played in Genoa on 29 Feb. http://www.figc.it/it/204/30602/2012/01/News.shtml

Di Natale is out Injured with Toe. So A roster space has opened up for a striker. I'm willing to bet my house on Fabio Borini.
So wait, Germany and France get to play each other, England and Holland get to play each other... but we get stuck with the USA? C'mon.
