I stand corrected - Hoffman with 4 goals in PAC 12 Conference Play

Still maintain my position that Brian Rowe was the true PAC 12 POY.

UCLA Eyes Title After Rebounding From Slow Start
    http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2011/12/08/ncaa-ucla-eye-title-after-rebounding-slow-start

I could agree with that but it's so subjective... Rowe only had to make 2.4 saves per game while most other pac-12 keepers had to make 4-5 saves per game.

My fantasy match would be 2011 Bruins v 2010 Zips.

Futbòl art on display in that one IMO.

    A man can dream can't he ??

Sh*tballs! And Stanfurd has the cash and the will to use it after they spent all that $ on the new football and soccer stadiums.

Not one single tiny piece of me believes that, unless he knows he's getting fired. What coach in their right mind would leave UCLA for Stanford?

Rowe wasn't benched for being out of form, he was benched for acting like a petulant child.

Facilities, my dear friend. UCLA facilities are pitiful...and half the team was recruited by Stanford too and would have gone if Salcedo were there.

This is a fact he is going to interview. Not sure they would even hire him.

Salcedo is a winner? Yes? Stanford had a very classy, great guy as a soccer coach but I guess Stanford (after the unrepeatable year in football this year) believes that they will strive for that in every sport.

I still think it would be extremely difficult for any program on the west coast to out recruit a kid who has UCLA on his list of possibilities. Also not certain how much more difficult it is to get into Stanford...I do know that you can be a marginal student and get admitted as an athlete at UCLA. I have to agree with tank that he would not voluntarily leave UCLA unless they were offering him a huge financial deal that he could not turn down.

Stanford is a private school with a massive endowment and ridiculously wealthy VC donors right next door in Palo Alto. UCLA is a public school in a state suffering constant financial crises. Stanford just opened a brand new gorgeous soccer specific stadium. Stanford has UCLA beat big time when it comes to both money and facilities. Yes, Salcedo could win more and recruit more easily at UCLA... but he also has to do what's best for his family and strike while the iron is hot. I have a feeling we are about to lose our coach.

I would also add to this that UCLA has an idiot of an athletic director in Dan Guerrero. He has completely shat the bed with the coaching search for the UCLA football program. I have zero faith in Guerrero's ability to retain Salcedo if Stanfurd really wants their man.
