Two bad they dont have the cash to buy the KC Royals and re-brand them. On the actual sporting side. That would be intense
As long as they don't offer consultation to other teams on how to handle branding or stadium naming rights, they should be golden!
Yeah, because we wouldn't want other organizations donating millions to charity. That's a terrible idea!
technically, they already are bc. you won't find it listed in many places, but their official name is Kansas City Royals Baseball Club.
All joking aside, has there been any action by SKC toward becoming polyathletic? I thought I'd heard they were considering adding a lacross team. ------RM
They've got an affiliated Rugby team. I'm still unclear on the details (ownership/partnership/sponsorship?), but they'll be playing at LSP on October 15th after Kansas City plays New York.
This may not be completely a sport arm of SKC but : http://www.sportingkc.com/news/2011/10/sporting-kc-teams-turner-motorsports
First the soccer team, then the rugby team, then Sporting Innovations, followed by the racing car. Soon enough, both sides of the state line will become Sporting Kansas City, Missouri and Sporting Kansas City, Kansas, followed by Sporting Earth.

Because I am a bit of a geek, I wrote the SKC organization last week to tell them I am inpressed with the whole package they've got going. They even wrote back.
