I paid for my 2012 season tickets in full this week. I just want to everyone know there is $40 "Legends Tax" on your season tickets. I think it is bull that STH have to pay extra but single game people do not. I guess I am supposed to get a game in the victory suite. Not if it is per order or ticket. My account Rep thought everyone knew about this "tax". They have u by the balls if u want ST. Interested in what others think.
That fee is also disclosed when you log into the system. Depending on where your tickets are you don't even see an increase. It's a $20 Village West Tax, and $20 in service charges, That's a $1 per ticket. The service charges are Ticket Master, the Village West Tax the team could do nothing about. The UG has put a $1 service charge per ticket on all events at the Legends. Who told you single game tickets don't pay the fees? Currently there are service charge fees on tickets purchased for single games. It's 1 and a guest. Once again, the team didn't do the tax, the UG is doing it.
Yeah, all businesses in the Legends shopping district have to pay a special sales tax to the state to pay off the STAR bonds. Since STAR bond proceeds were used to build the stadium, Sporting must pay the sales tax as well.
Have you purchased any single game tickets through TM or at the gate this season? I can assure you there are a ton of fees. You have like $8 on TM and like $3 at the gate. If you went to every game and ordered the tickets on TM, you would be paying a shit load more for the season.
fyp. it's a brilliant system.* they use the people's money to build it, then they use the people's money to repay it with added taxes and fees. * for the businessmen.
If you want a team and a world class stadium ... You have to pay for it. You can still park, buy admission and a beer for less than it costs to pay for parking at a Chiefs game. Let's not lose perspective.
I hate the fact that you are right about this. One benefit of season tickets is that the STHs dont have to grab their ankles for ticketmaster... Gee Thanks. [insert sarcastic face emoticon - here] I can hold my head high whilst walking through the gates. Chiefs' $27 parking makes SKC STH parking look all the more sweet.
Actually, they used bank money to build it. The taxes from the zone (quite naturally, the fans) pay back the bonds.
I don't think the STAR bonds leads to an *additional* tax, it just means that sales tax revenue from the area goes towards paying off the bonds instead of going to the local/state government.
I paid for my 2012 renewal and opted for the Victory Suite option. My rep called me today and asked if I was interested in using it this Saturday night instead of in 2012. She said that other 2012 STH were also being called. Is anyone thinking of going?
I got the same call. Decided I'd rather be in the Cauldron for a game like this and would try to use the Victory Suite on a game that doesn't mean as much and won't have as intense of a crowd.
Hey everyone, FYI. I spoke with Amesha this week about the two different "paid in full" options (Victory Suite vs. Budweiser Corner) and together we realized that the ticketmaster site is incorrectly showing how many seats I'd get in the Budweiser Corner. I'm renewing two season ticket seats and the site says I could get either two seats in the Victory Suite or four seats in the Budweiser Corner. According to Amesha, this is incorrect. The second choice is only for two seats in the Budweiser Corner, not four. If you have already renewed, paid in full, and selected the Budweiser Corner thinking you were getting two spots for every seat renewed, you may need to call your rep. This will make for a disappointing surprise for some folks, I'm sure.
They announced today they also have a Family season ticket for I'm guessing the South Stand (can't seem to find the Providence Sporting Zone on the map) http://www.sportingkc.com/news/2011/08/sporting-launches-2012-season-ticket-sales I guess you need to have two kids under 12 for this to work, and buy two for an adult.
Wonder if they get you for the $40 Village West "tax" on all 4 tickets, or just the 2 that you're paying for.
I dunno but at $190 before the taxes per seat its a bargain. With a second one on the way and the requirement to buy tickets for kids four and above this is just the kind of thing I wanted to see -- it'll get me, my wife and kids at the games and a whole new generation of dysfunctional children under my coat of games being damaged by football.
It's actually *3* and above. (I was seriously hoping you were right on this one...) Children two years of age or younger are permitted inside LIVESTRONG Sporting Park without a ticket provided they sit in a ticket holder’s lap, and so long as the child does not obstruct the view of others nearby.
Seems to vary depending on who you ask ...The LSP site says one thing, the official twitter account another ...
This raises a few questions. Will the child tickets look (and scan) different from the regular ones? If not, how will that aspect of the deal be enforced? If so, will the kid tickets only be exchangeable for kid tickets?
