the piggies are all but down, so that's nice. 8 points from safety with 4 games left. is there something in the water in sheffield? both clubs in league one.
Such witty repartee. I'm so glad that an admin error on a soccer message board has given your massive inferiority complex something to gloat about. I could respond by saying "How's that running track working out for you", or by making some crack about you having no fans, but that would be beneath me. Come back when you have something other than this year's Division 1 trophy and Steve Foster's sweaty headband to crow about.
Have no fans? You're clueless, by the way were moving into a new ground next season. Better than that shit hole you call hillsborough.
I had a feeling you were going to completely miss the point of my post. Run along, little lad, it's past your bedtime.
I wasn't taking the piss, obviously took it the wrong way. You can't deny you have been shit this season, are you not fuming you got Megson in?
Yes, we have been shit this season - I just don't like it being pointed out to me by a fan of the league champions, especially one who joined BigSoccer yesterday! The thing about Megson is that he is Wednesday through and through, his dad Don is a legend here, and he was a legend when he played for us in the 80s. If anyone is going to give absolutely everything for the club, he will. In terms of the style of football he plays, to be honest, we're going need that kind of grit and straightforwardness to get out of this division. We're not going to beat the likes of Rochdale and Oldham by playing pretty passing football if they're going to just stand up and kick the shit of of us. Save the flair for another day. It looks like we're safe from the drop now - one more win should just about secure us - and then hopefully we can invest some of that Mandaric money over the summer and push for the playoffs (at least) next season. So, we'll see.
I think you've had too many signings come in, in one season. Also you've signed journeyman, a mix of experience and ambitious young talent seem to be the way forward in the lower leagues. Madine looked good at withdean.
Oversight on my part. Until this season I've been able to post in this section without reprisal. I simply didn't think to move it.
to be fair, they've also got gus, who is the biznees kniznees. the first thing mandy should've done after taking over was send a discreet messanger to the seaside to see if he'd like to come to hillsborough and take a proper club up. gus is the shit. he'll keep them in the championship if he's not lured away, and probably comfortably so. personally, i'd've kept him at spurs when ramos got the axe ... not that there are any complaints about how it's played out, of course. anyway, to surmise: i heart gus.
Proper club? Lol. Poyet has already said he will only leave Brighton if it was someone like chelsea etc. We've got so much more potential than Wednesday.
yer welcome to keep flaming in here or start your own B&H thread... in which you will have plenty of room ...
Not really, you're a club on the down, we're on the up. New ground, better younger team, best manager outside the prem, ambitious local rich chairman and we have a huge catchment area for even more supporters. Wake up fella.

Well, we're safe now, ten points above the drop zone with three games left. The point against Walsall means that we have 54 points, and the most that Walsall and Bristol Rovers can reach is 53, assuming they both win all their remaining games. Plymouth still have a game in hand, but their maximum potential points tally is only 52, even if they take all 12 from their last 4 games. What a shitty season. Despite the early high of being top of the league for a while, our drop in form was disastrous, and that winless streak was almost intolerable. Let's get these last few games against Swindon, Bristol Rovers and Exeter out of the way with a minimum of fuss, and then hope that Megson and Mandaric sit down over the summer and figure out exactly what is needed next season for us to push for the playoffs - at minimum. The only good thing about next year? The return of the Steel City Derby as a result of Sheff Utd's (virtually guaranteed) relegation, and additional local derbies against Chesterfield (Division 2 champs) and maybe even Rotherham (if they can scrape into the D2 playoffs). 2011-12 starts here.
