    Wow.
One week left to the Tippeligaen starts .
It`s just one week sience the the world championchip on ski was i Oslo.
Where 20-30.000 stayed in the woods in the cold winter nights so they could joyn the party and get a good view to see the skiiers for the 50 km the next day.
And now Hundreds of thousands comes down from the forest to support their team.
    http://www.nrk.no/video/nrk_lesernes_vm_minner/B3FE20A18E73F1CD/emne/ski-vm/

And somethimes you can wonder why we do this to our self.
Other leagues seem like a dance with the bsll compared to Tippeligaen.
Why do we yearn for Vålerenga , Rbk or Brann??? Why do we yearn for the shabby football ????

    WELL.
iT IS ABOUTE MORE THAN A FOOTBALL MATCH.

So you start earlier than in Sweden? Wow.

Well, you say "shabby". That is not true. Tippeligaen and Superligaen are awesome compared to Allsvenskan in class. In Sweden we know what "shabby" is :). In comparison everything is stoneage in Sweden. Even the arenas lol.

We are as usual the jeleous swedes you know.

A club I´ve always liked in Norway is Brann. I´ll stick to them and follow them more closely. I can´t just have a "shabby" swedish club to root for. Got to go with some class too.....

Great tifo work in Norway. I hope to see more videos from the norwegian supporters. I think the potential is very, very big amongst your supporter-groups. Klanen are well known in Sweden of course. Didn´t they have some kind of cooperation with the AIK fans many years ago or maybe I got that all together wrong!?

(By the way I think you have written some very intelligent words in the "fight against modern football-thread". I agree we fans should stand united in those important issues.)

Greetings from your "söta bror" (or not perhaps :)) who also are shabby in nordic skiing.

    ifkgötet!

The Danish stats you have been using are from mid-season (this season) and not correct, since they of course are going to change from round to round until this season is finished and they always go up after the winter break towards the end of the season.

You can find the Danish FAs official (full season) 2010 stats right here :
    http://www.danskfodbold.com/tilskuere.php?ligaid=2001&seasonid=2010

As you can see then the average FC København home attendance was 19,338, Brøndby 14,372 and AGF Aarhus 11,879 and so on.

I guess we start this early this year because of the European quialifying match agains Denmark the 26`th of march here in Norway.

I can agree that Tippeligaen have improverd the quality of the play. But it is still a bit shabby. You know the long flat ball that the Danes teases us for. Drillo football. ;)
As to the arenas, aren`t you building lots of new stadiums nowadays?
And you still have some arenas with rather large standing stands that in my eyes is a big reason for the good atmosphere in swedish matches.

Tifo in Norway have actually gotten more rare the last two three years. But i hope it will get back and better to where it was.
And i agree that norwegian fans have a big potential. But many or most of the clubs will not let the fans be creative and seem to ban the few people that uses the most time and money on the supporter related things.
Just take a look at Viking where they have banned the little group off fans that dos not use a Viking costume. And the same with Lillestrøm last year where they banned UFC for standing in a section where there was seats.
I mean this and other things is the reason that the supportes in norway in my eyes isn`t as good in for example Sweden.
My supporter group is actually quite lucky in this case. First we are i bit over 13.000 member in Klanen so it is a quite powerful voice to the club , media and at the stand. Second we support a club that want a dialog with their supporters. Even the alternative guyes get to have a dialog with the club. And i think Rosenborg have some of the same as Vålerenga when it comes to the dialog with their fans.

Yes back in the 90`s Klanen and Gnaget had a cooperation . I actually do not know how the relationchip between the fan groups is today. But i know the Hammarby fans still do not like Klanen today because of the cooperation with Gnaget back in those days.

Yes i hope that all fans can raise over their hate for each other and unite in the fight. And i hope the swedish supporter aliance will make the swedish fans heard.

Yes there not many thing the norwgians like better then beating the sweeds ( big brother) on Nordic ski.

Rosenborg have signed a 4-year contract with the 25-yo Danish centre back Jim Larsen, paying aorund $1.5 million for him.... The Danish Superliga is especially good at producing good centre backs at the moment, Frederik Sørensen who is is now a regular for Juventus, has never been picked for the Danish A-NT, while Jim Larsen and Kris Stadsgaard both have been in and around the Danish NT without qute making it.

Well, yes... Sweden and Norway follow the same schedule, while the Danish 2010 season finished in the summer of last year, so it's easy to make the mistake of using the wrong figures... You are now about to start your 2011 season, while the Danish 2011 season will already be finished in the summer.

Great supportership by the norwegian ultras. We have some fantastic supportrs in Scandinavia. As we can see also in Norway. The potential is huge there. In Sweden the potential is reached in many ways, thanks to the tired old stadions we have with standing terraces. The irony in it all.

In Sweden the clubs must be owned by the club-members. At least 51/49 %. How is the situation in Norway? The cash-flow into your league and the Danish are considerably higher than in stoneaged Sweden. The only positive thing then is the fact that "the modern football" haven´t a stranglehold on swedish football concerning fans loosing their power versus strong mogules e.t.c.

This is a very thin line to walk. How much comercialization to the cost of loosing the passion in it all?

Many believe these two can be combined. I think you´ve made some outstanding points at the "fight against modern football" thread as I wrote. We can witness some individuals at that thread not quite grasping the whole issue.....Making it a bit easy for themselves. They might say things like: "Open up comercialization totally and everyting will be okey".

When they build future stadiums for example it would be a welcomed thing if they still had standing terraces still welcoming hardcore-supportership. Another thing would be to be a bit more hosptable and helpfull towards those fans, not strangling their enthusiasm by making decisions solely for commercial reasons. They need to understand that football needn´t just be about "entertainment" but also for the pure passion of it.....I can garantee the club leaderships out their that with also the parametre of passion, the entertainment value will also increase.

With this said I of course welcome the whole spectra of people in society to the games. Football is for everyone.

Nice to see the organized Ultras of Norway holding their own in this battle!! Sad to hear that some fans are being banned for seemingly nothing. Police working in connection with matches need to get a specific education about true supportership and Ultras. Get a better "feel" for it so to speak.

Well you can say that the ultras have started to grow the last 2-5 years in Norway. The Norwegian clubs and association have been quite scared of cenes like the ones in Sweden and England in the 80`s and the 90`s . And we had a real clean up with the Apeberget in the 90`s . Since then you might say that the clubs and the fans in norway have been a bit reserved when it comes to the externalizing support you might be used to in Sweden. And as you say we do not have many stadiums that have the old standing stands anymore. Vålerenga are in theese days planning a new Arena. ( vifstadion.no) And i have been told that we will get the biggest standing area in Norway. Today the rules say max 20% of the capcity of the stadium can be a standing area. But i know that the NSA (Norsk Supporter Alianse) are trying to pressure the association to encrease this number.

There is no rules aboute how mutch anyone have to own of the clubs in Norway. Still i think most clubs try to keep the cash flow to a more or less normal level. But you will always have someone that try just a bit to hard and spend beyond their means , Like Lyn and Tromsø. The last time i heard something aboute the economy in Tromsø , they had to start 2011 with -9 points.

Yes the line is whery thin. But i think at least the nordic leagues will keep their feet planted on the ground for now. And I think the fans is so well organized within the clubs in theese countries that the comercialization will never reach the level we see in England forexample. And as long as the Supporter groups is the main mass that keep comming to the matches i do not think we will see the clubs pressuring the fans out. But it is EXTREMELY important that we do not take anything for granted.

I belive that the passion and the comercialization can work together to a certain point. But the tv companies and the inverstors should never come before the match going fans. Just take a look at the norwegian hockey league. When the leaders wanted to earn more money of the hockey league , they put 3 rounds per week. (tirsdag torsdag og lørdag) Combined with best out of seven rounds in the cup just was to mutch for people, and the league have lied with a broken back sience the end of the 90`s.

We can see the same problem sniking in to the Tippeligaen. From this year we have matches Friday , saturday , sunday and monday. This is in my eyes just to mutch. During the winter all the supporter groups and NSA have gathered and started a action called football should be played at the weekend. http://www.fotballihelgen.no/

Most of the info and pics from the action will be posted here. http://tribunekultur.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=891&start=20

Personally i think Germany seems to have a good model ehere the clubs and associations work together with the fans and listen to what they have to say and at the same time they seem to make a good amount of money.

And since we are on to the topic i just want to mention that NSA( Norwegian Supporter Aliance) Have been asked by Police Academy for the coming constables to hold a presentation aboute Supporters and the security seen from a supporters point of view.
Some of the issues that was raised was
The bigger supporter groups, the more opinions and more ways to react. One can not treat everyone the same way.
And about cooperation and dialogue rather than to act on its own initiative without the clarity of the situation. Please be sure before you do anything.

This is the sort of thing that can prevent many unwanted situations before , during and after a match.

Hey vivaf, thanks for all the updates.

But I just wanted to help you out with your English. "beated" is not a real word, the correct way to say it would just be: "Brann beat RbK".

Just trying to help. Thanks again for all the updates! Let's go Aalesund!

Bad english or not. Vif "beated" ;) Aalesund to peaces.

A april fool from a little fraction from Bærum (Stabæk) Ultras 1912 sendt out a mail to some alternative fans with a Police security service logo on that said the person was monitored by the NFF and the PST during the match Norway vs Denmark, where some seats was destroyed during the match at he NSA field.

I like your version better vifvaf. Additionally, I think beated was more appropriate than beat given the scoreline.

Keep up the great work updating us all on Tippeliga my friend.
