If a young player is lazy in training they will never fulfill their potential. I remember some LFC players were interviewed and they all said that Pennant was the worst trainer, and he clearly has not maximised his talent.
Re: England U-19 Discussion Thread 2 [R] I agree . He seems on the right track though : pretty interesting paper from a manutd blog : http://www.stretford-end.com/blog/2011/02/ravel-morrison-profile/
Re: England U-19 Discussion Thread 2 [R] Reece Wabara has made Man City's bench for tonights Europa League match. He was part of the last U20 squad.
Billy Knott makes the Sunderland bench. He's been doing well for Sunderland's academy and reserves. Baxter is on the bench for Everton in the same game.

Their manager would have probably left him on the bench the next game anyway. That's what he did when Kane came on and got 2 against Bristol Rovers.
Yeah, he seems to use him mainly off the bench. Still it's great experience for him. He's still not 18 until late July.
Andre Wisdom is starting as captain for Liverpool reserves. It would be great news if he was back at 100% for our elite qualifying phase.
I'm surpised they don't give him more of a go (if only for his free kicks). I was disappointed he didn't get on in the TV game against the Arse.
Yeah, it was a shame he didn't get on but Slade seems to use all three of the Spurs loan players mainly from the bench usually. I saw Kane's second booking for his sending off on the TV and it was a joke. He didn't even do anything. That means he misses out on the replay with Arsenal completely. Which is a shame.
Gary Gardner has made our squad for the Man City cup game. Great news for him, we're not short on midfielders either.
Billy Clifford was MoTM in the recent youth cup game against Watford, overshadowing Josh (who wasn't bad himself, mind) again. It's only youth cup but he's worth a call up in a friendly imo. Clifford, Josh, Saville and Chalobah had a pretty good chemistry in the middle of the park and some of their passing play was outstanding.
Thought Josh and Billy Clifford were as good as each other to be fair. I remember in the second half at some point near the right corner flag their little flicks to eachother. Also combined in the last round vs Barnsley for McEachran's goal.
I can't see Clifford getting a call up now because Blake has already used up the friendly games. So he can't really give him a chance for the elite qualifiers. Clifford will not be eligible next year either. Clifford probably deserved a go considering some of the players Blake has called up. Saville might make the next U18 squad possibly.

Don't get me wrong, they were both excellent. Just thought Billy ran things more in the midfield in the 2nd half so his influence was a bit bigger. Josh played the '10' free role and had to rely on others finding him so it was probably down to tactics as much as anything else. Their inter-play (which led to a good chance) is in the video Rick put up. The build up to the penalty (not fully shown in the vid) was good link up between them too.
Afobe starts too for Huddersfield Town. Oxlade-Chamberlain also playing for Southampton. Interesting night in League 1.
