Yes it is the return of the KING kids!
Bringing some of the usuals and some of the new guard.
Hey Mikey? We still have some of our flag poles stashed away?
Looking forward, once again, to returning to see everyone.
I promise to behave this time:D.
Does anyone know if the 3 Lions will be open for the Tues./Wed. UEFA Champions League matches?
I want to check out the other Madra pub too.
    Let the newbies shop/sightsee.
Any golfers making the trip, please feel free to contact me as I plan on playing at leats 5 rounds+ and I am familiar with most of the courses in/around the Charleston area.
But get back to me within the next couple of weeks as I will be booking tee-times shortly.
Nothing before 10 am and nothing after 12 pm.
I will be down from Friday night (4th) til Mon. (14th).
    KD.

Anyone visiting from Chicago, DC or Charleston (unlikely) up for a round of golf while in Chucktown?
I will be assembling a team that would make the 'Catman' shudder.
    See ya on the links:D

as alwasy we are locking up our daughters and barricading the doors! LOL

    looking forward to seeing you.

I know of a couple from Minnesota making the trip down that are thinking of a round but not 100% sure of their schedule.

I doubt the 3 Lions will be open for the champions league but I know both the Madra's will show it. Plus there is a place downtown that has started showing matches regularly. O'Malley's on King St. (the one with all the shops)

And I still have a large assortment of PVC poles at the stadium. I know I used a couple but the bigs ones are their for sure as are most the 5-6 foot size ones

Heading to the Baud today to watch the USL Combine! home sweet home

Man O man, that opening Saturday is gonna rock.
But whatever debauchery takes place after the coffee pot match? I will still make it to the Madra Sunday morning for the 'pool/ManU game.
    Shirts off!!!

Speaking of various festivities going on in Chucktown during the tournament ... I notice that Fat Tuesday happens to fall during that week ..... so, what's going on in the greater Charleston area for Mardi Gras?!?!?
Any good parades? I remember one in Summerville one year as a warm-up for the Azalea Festival parade, but I only remember it happening once.

I did a quick look around and all I can find is a couple Mardi Gras Balls Like you said there used to be a couple parades but cant find any info on them of this year.

I know the first weekend is the Food and Wine fest in town. lots of Celebraty chefs and they are doing a casting call for "Top Chef"

I was kind of sticker shocked with the price to some of the events but when I watch one of the videos on the site about what is included in the event ticket It almost sounds like a steal!

Samples from more than 80 chefs and dozens of wine makers. Thats almost like a full buffet with and open bar!

Don't know about y'all but I am stoked on the opportunity to see Charlie Davies play for DCU. I was at the qualifier in DC the day after his accident, will be a rush to see him suited and booted again. Any buzz about the chances of him getting minutes?

Will keep an eye out for the rowdies at the matches -- maybe I'll run into some of you cats (I'll be rockin' the CD9 USA for sure). If anyone makes it downtown, I own Bubba Slye's Deli on King and Warren and would be happy to extend a Big Soccer discount. Ask for Jared.

    Looking forward to the Cup!

Jared, you need to keep a lookout for those guys walking around downtown next week. With 3 teams in town, you usually see them around the King street area.
