    1860 gg. FC Zurich Test

Report from the 1860 website. They played a 4-4-2 with a diamond mid. Wood played on the outside.

The first half line-up looked like this:
    [LINEUP-4-4-2]Lauth+, Rakic, Camdal*, Ignjovski+*, Lovin+, Volland*, Schwarz*, Buelow+, Bell+*, Rukavina+, Tschauner[/LINEUP-4-4-2]

The second half line-up looked like this:
[LINEUP-4-4-2]Ludwig+, Rakic, Wood*, Stahl*, Lovin+, Manga*, Kappelmaier*, Buelow+, Ayguen, Ratei*, Tschauner
    [/LINEUP-4-4-2]

Players with an + are normal starters. Players with an * are under 21. The second half team was clearly a group of guys who never played together much. Manga, Kappelmaier and Ratei are all U23 players who have not seen pro action. Wood, Stahl, Camdal, Volland were U23 or U19 players almost exclusively last year.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Beda played finally...albeit for Zurich. :D

    Re: Uhlsport stuff

    Where?

I think 1860 decided to forego paying Erima for the next season mock ups to avoid the cost. I guess they figure they can forego the cost for now and put in a rush order this summer, that way they can avoid the 300k+ charge on THIS year's budget.

Problem is, they will be behind the marketing curve and won't have stuff on the shelves until later in the season. I guess they ran the math a figured THAT loss would be worse than having the balance on their books this term.

At least I ASSUME they are doing the math.

They have a pic of the Red Devil and it opens up a PDF file.

Usually, even in the 2B, the clubs get paid to wear the stuff from the technical sponsor. What I understood was that Erima is already in financial trouble did not want to continue because they were not sure 60 would be in the 2B and the cost to develop a line for 60 would be €300,000 plus the fee they paid the club.

Uhlsport was willing to undertake the project (because they already have uniforms in the line with stripes probably) as they think its a good investment.

    OMG this is just bizarre....

Well the Biancucchi saga continues. Not only has Girona claimed to have signed him, but they have presented him to the press as theirs!!!!

His agent is flabbergasted as is 1860. His is not on the transfer list, nor was his contract terminated nor did he have freedom to look for another club. I think this kid is betting his "messi" connection keeps him out of trouble.

I simply cannot see UEFA turning a blind eye to this.

    Team News....

    • Stevic on the Bianccuchi affair. Basically says he is trying to negotiate a transfer fee. How thid kid is allowed to do this and still be eligible to play is beyond me. I liked him alot but this has to be punished.
    • Aigner speaks out and says he agrees with Lauth regarding the cost of the new contracts. It was reported that Lauth's new contract was for 40% less than what he is making now. Aigner and Lauth both say that savings measures alone won't help the club and that players need to make a living. I have to say I have to agree, but how much will they get elsewhere? Only the market will tell.
    • Beeck says he wanted more time with his kids and a 40 hour work week, that's why he left. The fact the club is in the shitter even worse than when he took over cannot possibly be another reason.
    • Still open is Ghvinianidze's alledged move to the Ukraine. How this can even be an issue with the transfer window closed is beyond me. I am thinking that if you are on the transfer list you can still conclude business? Dunno.
    • Interview with the vice-dumbass Maget about Schneider and his plans. Basically says Schneider is a good communicator, heads up many companies, has good contacts and can get things done. He will pick his own "team" and has asked Maget to stick around. The fact he likes Stevic and has Schaefer as a mouth-piece does not bode well.

    ^^^^^^

Biancucchi: If the clubs work out a settlement, nothing will happen. Basically, "no harm, no foul." The kid might be getting 1860 a better deal than the moron could find for them.

Lauth: I'm pretty sure he can find a deal worth more than 40% less of what 1860 is paying him now. You know I don't rate him as much as most, but I know he can find that. I don't blame Lauth either. If I were his agent, I'd tell 1860 where they can stick that offer.

    Beeck: F#ck him.

Mate G: I believe the transfer window for the Ukraine is still open. There isn't one broad transfer window for everyone. Their winter break is three months long, so they can hold their transfer window at any point during that time. However, like everyone else, it must not exceed four weeks. It doesn't matter if Germany's window is "closed." As long as the gaining club's league window is "open", the deal can be done.

    Maget: See the "Beeck" response......

I cannot fathom UEFA letting someone simply do what he wants without some type of fine to the club/player. If they did then what's to keep Neuer from simply leaving Schalke and signing with Bayern whenever the fock he wants to?

I didn't say it was right.

I'm trying to tell you that if the two clubs reach a settlement, UEFA will probably let it go.

It really comes down to 1860, Biancucchi and Girona not being big enough for UEFA to worry about.

Bayern and Neuer? That, they would worry about.

1860 and Girona? No one gives a shit.

I also get the feeling someone in Munich isn't telling the truth.......

I would strenuously hope that UEFA wouldn't want to send any kind of message implying moves like this are acceptable, regardless of the teams involved. If Girona can set precedent here, I'm certain (much like LoewenBoy is) that the bigger clubs would take UEFA's inaction here and shove it back in their face if, say, Bayern/Real Madrid/<insert sleazy Liga Calcio team here> were involved the next time.

Exactly. Besides UEFA Getting involved, a violation of EU labor law has transpired. Not sure something like this can even be ignored. That is, UEFA may be compelled to act by law...I don't know for sure just guessing. But the precedence of ignoring this because it is a "small" situation but then stepping in if Bayern and Neuer were to do this, I don't think is possible. How can one instance be ignores and another not under EU law?

The DFL stated that players moving abroad don't have to be on the transfer list.

This is another reason I ended my last message with:

"I also get the feeling someone in Munich isn't telling the truth......."

How about we just let this one play out instead of going on and on about how UEFA is somehow wrong not to be intervening??

Especially when we don't know squat about how this actually transpired.

Yeah, I guess that is also a possibility.

I just like musing about what might happen. If the reports are true -- that he signed a contract without having his current contract dissolved -- that is a CLEAR violation and would need to be addressed....or should be.

And that's exactly what makes me think:

    a) Exactly what I said at first, someone in Munich might not be telling the truth.

    or

    b) The reports and 1860 aren't giving the entire story.

Apparently, something happened to make Girona believe they could sign Biancucchi.

I don't think this is a case of Girona saying, "screw your current club, we're going to break the rules and keep you here......"

Here's what "kicker" said about it in today's print version:

    ++++++++++++++

"A player not required to be at the Zurich test match was Emmanuel Biancucchi (22), who is causing irritation. The club sent him to Italian Serie A club AC Cesena, where the Argentinian offensive talent was scheduled for a trial. Instead, Biancucchi went to Spanish Segunda Division club FC Girona, who reported signing 'Lionel Messi's Cousin' on their web page. How this case will work itself out is unclear."

    ++++++++++++++

I'm almost certain there is something else which isn't being reported.......

Of course, I could also envision that he went there to force a break of his contract not giving a damn about rules. Argies can be like that, right?

No, but the notion of latin players/teams thinking that they can do things contrary to the system is not surprising...nor out of the realm of possibilities.

Frankly, as long was we get a good deal of money out of it I really could care less. If we DON'T get a good deal of money out of it, then I say take it to UEFA and the ECJ and let them decide and put the thumb-screws to the player and club.

I don't mind incompetence as much as I hate disloyalty.

    Loyalty works both ways.

And I said at the beginning this could wind up working out better for 1860.

I think this is why they haven't raised a stink yet.....

Seems Girona is saying they haven't heard anything from 1860 about a transfer fee. Stevic says he has been in contact with Girona but Girona is saying no. My guess is Girona will try to pull a fast one and get away with not paying a transfer fee. 1860, if they are smart, will make a request and make it known, wait of a response and, if Girona does not respond, will ask UEFA to step in.

This is simply being handled REALLY poorly be Stevic. Assuming what we know is the truth (that Biancucchi is there without permission and 1860 has tried to get a transfer for him) then Stevic is mis-managing something as simple as this....even when he appears to be holding all the cards.

Other news, Sven Bender may get a call-up by Loew to the MNT. If he does, BVB owes 1860 a bit more $$$ based on the contract that was negotiated for Bender when he left.

I'm pretty sure Girona is going to say Biancucchi told them 1860 let him out of his contract.

I hope 1860 is holding all the cards, but something tells me they aren't telling the entire truth.......
