after issues with trying to play the game on the disk, I am installing it via stream. Maybe this might work.
Are there any good new American databases out there? I've tried making one myself, but it's very rough.
Well if you're the type of guy who likes putting the ball in the back of the net from 30 yards, then you should go with fifa. And if you're the type of guy who likes to control a team from top to bottom then fm 2011 is the way to go. But in reality both games are very different.
I have Football Manager 2011 for my iPod touch. Is there a manual online that can explain the details of the game? Maybe something that tells you what attributes are important for a keeper, striker, set piece taker, etc... Does giving a young player some game time as a substitute allow him to improve his skills better? What skills does an attacking midfielder need different then a central midfielder or winger? I mean I can guess the answers to these questions but is there a source out there that can give me a difinitive answer? Is there a site or online manual to give you tips and tricks to the game? Thanks!
I didn't even know FM was available in the app store! I think I'm going to stick to the PC version, but let me know how it is -- I might download it on my iphone later.
I've had no time, and I have a really good napoli save going. Got them to third place in Serie A the first season. CL places. Got Quagliarella back from Juve, got Chritian Benitez on a Bosman, young Sven Bender from Dortmund, Bernardo from Cruzeiro, Bochetti back from russia and Ezequiel Munoz. Got rid of alot of players too! I have 23 players that I fully trust starting, so Hopefully I will get far in all competitions.
I got this game for Christmas after not having played the game since the 2005 version. I was totally hooked on that and achieved utter greatness. This time I'm not feeling it, and one thing that's getting me is the training. In previous versions you could easily adapt the training schedules but now it seems you can only increase or decrease the workload. Anybody got any advice as to how to improve the training?
Make schedules for each position on the field and place the respective players. If you're having issues in building some, then download the most popular here: http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/downloads.php?do=cat&id=58 In pre-season place the bar exactly when it reaches "High" for each schedule. Once the last pre-season game is over, go for two thirds. This way you can get a moderate "Normal". Preferably use your best eleven + subs so that they can gel and get match fitness. Leave the rest to get match fitness in the Reserves. This way you're always ready for the new season.
Anybody working much with the editor? I've been doing some editing, but I'm getting stuck on something that has to be pretty easy because every time I find the question asked online (on the FM forums, sega forums, etc) the person answers "you just do it". 8( So far liking the game. 8)

Who are you playing with? I'm in the third season of my game in charge of Wisla. I've won the league the previous two seasons and made it to the group stage of the Champions League in my second season. I've been using the 4-2-3-1. It works best with the team.
Did you play with the 11.3 patch? It's a lot easier to dominate with Wisla. But I have no idea what you should do with Pogon. Only I Liga team I know is Sandecja.
what a coincidence My parents are from Nowy Sacz and I was born in Krakow, I have scarfs from both teams even though Sandecja/Cracovia are friends. I will try to get that patch. where is a good download site for patches?
Most of my family is still in Nowy Sacz and I hate that Sandecja has the alliance with Craxa. My other family is from around Lublin. I just downloaded the official 11.3 patch from FM's website. That's the best place.
