I think he has scored some goals for them and he also has done some good during their preseason. In all EJ needs to find a move out of Fulham with BZ coming back next month EJ Pt which is decreasing will go back at 0 once again. Will see what happens for this kid the next few weeks.
Yeah that's true. We have huge troubles scoring in the League. It's weird because in Europa League we score about 2-3 goals every game. EJ would help Aris I think.
Fulham should of sold him during the summer to Aris that made sense but not for Fulham I guess. Well his improvements is gonna get slowed down too bad. Hopefully he gets a loan at least done before the window closes or else he's done for the year maybe.
You know your not thought of highly when Kamara beats you out. That dude is really bad. Go to Aris, EJ.
Yeah Ruiz is playing the UNCAF now for Guatemala. He missed last game and he will miss the new game as well. But he will be back for the game against paok. He has been doing ok for Aris. He started out really well with 3 goals in the Europa League but he hasn't been playing that well in the League like the rest of the team. But he started picking it up a couple of weeks ago, he scored against Kavala then he played against Panathinaikos. I think he is a good player but he has more to offer, he has been a bit up and down. 4 goals in total for Aris during this first half of the season. Aris is looking to do some new signings during January to fix the offensive problem that we have in the league. EJ's name hasn't popped up in the media actually. We wanted him in the summer but Fulham didn't let him go, quite stupid by them since he will probably leave on a free transfer in 6 months. If he doesn't sign for any other team it's very likely that Aris will show interest to sign him again.
We told ya. The best thing to do with Ruiz is to lower expectations so you won't be disappointed. The whole sequence of events still doesn't make sense. They've wasted him for two years now. I still don't get it when teams hang on to players they won't play. If you're going to keep paying a guy, at least get some use out of him. I can't disagree with Aris in that respect. God I hope so. That was the happiest we've seen EJ in years.
Carlos Ruiz..........he's an amazing guy. Not many clubs in the world could be convinced to sign a 31 year old, short, tubby Guatemalan. And yet teams keep signing him............and he keeps scoring goals. Eddie Johnson should fly over to Aris just to ask Carlos Ruiz who his agent is. That guy performs miracles.
He has a thick frame, Maradona like, but he def. isnt the same chubby guy that was in the MLS a couple seasons back. WAAAY better shape. Although he's been weak at scoring goals lately for Aris, he still has that great control and vision on the ball when with the box. He gets the quick short passing style of Aris, and handles the playmaker roles in the times I've seen him in and Koke not playing. Even though he may not be scoring, he brings calm, intelligentce, and vision on the ball. I never got the hate, beyond him making the most out of little contact, but thats what soccer is all about. You get rewarded with PKs or FKs in dangerious situations as a result.
Its the WAY he's makes the most out of a little contact. Few players can match the level of exaggeration with which Ruiz goes down from a not-so-stiff breeze
I understand that Ruiz is not very liked by the MLS fans, but he is a very good player. Very good finisher and I'm sure he would have scored many more goals if our midfielders would have provided him with more passes inside the box. The goals that he scored were very important. We are a bit off-topic though
EJ should definitely drop his wage demands or whatever he has to in order to get a move back to Aris or any club for that matter.
I don't think wages were an issue with the Aris move. Fulham wanted more money for him, Aris couldn't afford him after that IIRC.
Cuper brought him, maybe he brings him wherever he goes next? Rumor is spain, teams over there are interested in him as a coach.
You should take a pay cut at your job so you can go to a different company that's smaller than your current one.
If you haven't got any work and bored as hell, yes! The point of a footballer is to actually play football.
LOL! This is a joke, right? Your gonna leave your job where you do nothing, to go to a job where your gonna work more for less pay? Sign me up!!!
To continue with the work analogy, someone might leave an established company to go with a tech start up. If you believe in your abilities you might take a risk for a greater reward. It all depends on the numbers too. Quarter of your salary..half? That might be a bit too far but 75% for playing time might be tempting enough if you believe you can prove yourself.
As long as we're doing work analogies, moving from Fulham to Aris for Johnson might be like leaving a big, prestigious company in order to get a promotion at a smaller, less prestigious (but still respected) company. If the pay cut isn't too big, taking less money to get a better job can make sense. You get to do something you enjoy more in the short term and possibly set yourself up for another promotion to a bigger company down the road.
