Pending the decision of the CFU on the country that will host the final tournament of the Digicel Caribbean Championships (DCC), all see which country could lift the cup next year.

The defending champion Jamaica is a natural candidate to succeed him. Trinidad and Tobago, an another great of the caribbean who missed the 2009 Gold Cup, will try to bring back a title it hasn't wont since 2001. And what about Haiti? This team has still been champion in 2007 and has recently reached the Gold Cup quaterfinals this year. Cuba has never been champion but is regularly among the top four team from the caribbean is also a potential candidate for the title. Martinique which was three times champion in 1983, 1985 and 1993 still hoping found glory past. Guadeloupe which is the caribbean team's most steady in the Gold Cup in the recent year (semifinals in 2007 and quaterfinalist this year) is among the favorites. Note that Guadeloupe was the first caribbean champion in history long before the creation of the CFU (1978), it was long ago, it was in december in 1948 at home. This is our only title so far!

So my prediction for the next DCC is :

    Caribbean champion : GUADELOUPE
    Runner-up : Trinidad and Tobago
    Third place : Jamaica
    Fourth place : Haiti

All four teams will play the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

I hope Barbados can take the CFU title ones, but that's unlikely to happen. We have never able to perform any better.I think Jamaica will take the title again, but guadelope have recently perform very well.So i think there is a chance for them.

Well, either Jamaica or Cuba will actually win it.

I do not think Gwada, which of course I like as a team, will win the title. However, they do have the team that can get this little job done. I wouldn't mind seeing that happen, though.

Trinidad and Haiti also look suspect. Either team have the manpower to win the title but will they show up prepared? That's the big question!

I don't want to be mean but Puerto Rico will have to row much to bring the title home!

Some people don't see Guadeloupe as a potential winner but in fact Guadeloupe has this potential! The problem is some European clubs refuse to release their players for this competition!

Cuba? Why not as i said!

It's still too early to call it (i.e who will win Caribbean Cup) , lets wait
and see who qualifies for the Martinique Round because some teams
may get a unlucky Group in the qualifying round . However I see Puerto
Rico have the CAC Games to exploit some of its young Talents and also
have a Tournament coming up with Ghana ,Kenya from CAF , if they make it to the Martinique Round they will be dangerous PR Produces good athletes .

Guadeloupe have qualified for the Gold Cup back to back , If they reaches
the Martinique Round they will be a force . I dont know what the situation
is with Trinidad & Tobago , but they are strong within the Caribbean cause
they have their U20 World Cup Squad to select from . Am not going to rule
T&T out they have a qualifying Round to face . Cuba I dont know much about , Haiti can gain strength from the earthquake . Martinique have won the Tournament in 1993 and this year they are the Host ... they will be strong .

As I said before lets wait and see who qualifies for the Martinique Round .

based on schedule and location of the tournament , I think the creole & french speaking teams of Haiti,Guadeloupe and Martinique are going to have a strong impact on the Tournament this year . I wont be surprise
if all three teams reaches the semis . Here are my selected 3rd Round
    teams ... 1. Cuba 2.Netherlands Antilles 3.Trinidad & Tobago 4.Grenada
    5.Guadeloupe 6. Haiti 7.Host Martinique 8.Defending Champions Jamaica .
