FK Qarabag won 4-1 against Metalurg Shkup yesterday in Europa League and Admir Teli and Ansi Agolli were in the starting line. Artan Demiri was a starter as well for Metalurg.

Teli got a red card in the 51st minute.

He has played for USA U20, but has said that he would like to play for the Albanian NT. Also I doubt he will be called up to the USMNT anyway.

Memelli signs a one year deal with Jordan champions Al Faisaly where he will get $300K/yr. There's also an option for a 1-year extension. He turned down a 120K offer from Flamurtari.

Memelli eshte zyrtarisht lojtar i Al Faisaly

    Where on his Facebook page?

No, he's not unless you have a link saying he's an Albanian citizen because as far as I know he is not. I am sick and tired of people caring about Albanians who may potentially play for Kombetare where there isn't the slightest indication that they want to. Being of Albanian descent is not an indication of one's will to wear Kuqezi.

Looks official. I am hugely dissappointed. Here I was thinking he could transfer to a bigger club in England and now he moves to Turkey.

    Yes. its officials.

    He moved to Turkish giants.
He is gonna be with one of the best trainers in the world . Frank Rijkaard and co Johan Neeskens.

To me, its good move. Good luck Lorik Cana.

He is albanian and I don't even think he's even good enough for the kuqezi at this point.. He played some matches for the US u20 team I believe and he wants to play for the Albanian NT.. He's not from albania, he's a dibran(maqedoni). I don't know what his facebook page has to do with anything as well

On an interview with an Albanian website. The citizenship is not a problem at all, he can get it anytime. And the main thing is that he has no chance of playing for USA and for now not even for Albania.

Wait, is that website futbollishqiptar.net by any chance?
Albanian website, that's about as legitimate as a rumour started by my local barber.

My point was he played for the U.S.A. U-20 and is not even in the radar of our NT so why bother posting updates about him?

I was juts being facetious since you guys were claiming he has stated he wants to play for Albania. I've followed Duka's saga since 2007 and never did I read he wanted to play for us.

I don't think he ever got a offer from the Albanian NT... He's a young player who played college soccer in the United States. They didn't offer him anything.

He still has a chance to play with Albania as well.

By Albaniasoccer.com i think and they know him personally as many other Albanians do here in New York. I've seen him play to with a few Albanian amateur teams, and he played in Copa NYC with Albania as well, along with his brother. So it's not like he doesn;t know where Albania is.

The fact that he has played for US U-20 doesn't matter at all. He's not in the radar of our NT because he hasn't even started playing in the league yet. So I don't think he deserves to get called up. And he will never get called up by US anyway. If Albanian calls him up though, later on, he will come running.

Well you got it wrong , first he never played for Copa NYC, his brother did and the Albanians won the cup. He tryout for the Albanian U 20 NT and made it on the first try and was all over the newspaper in Albania. Then Rongen give him a call up and he played for the US NT.

I didn't think he played in COPA NYC either. He just got a professional contract with MLS, he's not gonna play in some amateur tourney to beat Tommy Smith's Irish Stars :)
However one of NY Albanians forwards, Colombian born if I'm not mistaken, played for Columbus Crew briefly.

Precisely my point. For a lot of Albanian descent players Albania is just a backup plan and they'll bolt the first moment they get a callup from a more prestigous team. Very few have the pride, patriotism and balls of Lorik Cana.

I like Duka and wished he had joined NY in the MLS draft but please let's leave him out of our NT discussion.

Im sure he played in one of the matches. They were two brothers, they looked exaclty the same. And that before he was drafted I think.

And he always played with Albanian amateur teams before.

The thing is that he has no chance to play for USA, so he would come right away to play for Albania if he's called up. he has no other option.

Bogdani signs a one year deal with AC Cesena who were just promoted to Serie A. There he'll find Ficcadenti, the coach under whom he scored 17 goals in 2004/05 in Serie B with Verona.

I don't think Cana was being called up by any other country besdies Albania at that time. But yeah, at least he didn't wait to see if he would get a call. He did refuse our U21 though.
