1-1 Halftime, Islanders and PR womens nat team in the stands cheering for bayamon, according to the guy reporting Bayamon has played very level with Public.
why? they lost the head to head against Jab 4-1 and even if this score holds they finish with -4 goals to Jab's + 1 goals.
Dale campeon dale campeon dale tropa campeon!!! Islanders champions of the caribbean! Final 3-1 Bayamon
The CCL trophy and Club World Cup are more beautiful. Congrats, though. The 4 teams played 3 games in 5 days. Next time fans complain about "fixture congestion", they should see what you had to accomplish.
http://www.prislandersfc.com/index/...2010-de-la-cfu&catid=41:comunicados&Itemid=80 Felicitaciones Islanders! And hopefully Jamaican and Haitian teams will help make this tournament more competitive in the near future...but of course, the #1 concern is making sure that the games run way more smoothly than this time around.
Oh yes, and even more credit to them for winning the tournament away from home. Any plans for receiving them at the airport when they get back?
Speaking of which, check out the article half-way down the page about Joe Public defender Abu Bakr. Apparently the CFU "determined" that red cards don't carry over to the final round. My guess is they determined this after discovering that Joe Public was the only team carrying a red card. Does anyone know if any of the other teams had a red card in their final match of a round, possibly between the 1st and 2nd rounds? http://www.socawarriors.net/league/...gister-opening-cfu-final-round-victories.html
Warner thinking, thinking... how the heck can I cheat my way out of this one and make Joe Public the champions? He was seating by the Bayamon FC bench looking for a reason to disqualify them from the tournament as they were torturing the Joe Public, but he ran out of time before figuring it out...
