I'd really love it if someone could make a blockbuster soccer movie involving the national team or MLS. Some big names, top production, etc. Beckham was already in Goal, hell, they could use him too.
The movie isn't even about him. I don't know how Kuno Becker agreed to play that stupid role, GOAL3 sucks even more than the first two movies, I swear to god, it's BAD. And btw, he was born in Mexico, if he'd been born and raised in the States then yeah, it would've been..uh, ungrateful of him to play for Mex, but he wasn't even a citizen.. so, yeah...
Yeah I know... What was the point of this plot? Had nothing to do with Santiago. The only good part is that all three Goal movies always had good looking women.
I started to watch it, but it was sucking major rooster so i stopped. Can someone tell me what the hell this movie was about. The first two Goal movies were cool cuz they showed what a pro player goes through, but this one was pretty bad for the first 20 minutes.
Just saw this movie as well. Now wonder is was a direct to DVD release in the UK. Whoever decided to just scrap the plot of the forst 2 and focus on some guy not even in the first 2 movies and put Kuno Becker's character in pretty much a supporting role with no story should be drummed out of the movie business. Really a crappy piece film. I will watch the first 2 again in an effort to erase the 3rd from my memory.
Since when was Santi a US Citizen? Last I heard in Goal I, he was still from Mexico. It was never mantioned in Goal I or II that he was anything different. This movie is pure sh*t.
As I remember it England win the cup in the promo. You must have been watching some other soccer film. Also Goal III is not out in the US. There is not even an expected date for it to be released on DVD in the US.
Someone else said they won it in the movie, and I just followed up on that. And if you read better, I also corrected myself right after it.
this movie sucked...if you didnt see the first two movies you may have liked it, but other than that this movie was horrible. santi's longest line in the movie came at a part where he had to cry.
Haven't seen the movie, but if the guy played for the Mexican national team, it would be realistic scripting to have him crying at some point.
Did you even pay attention to the movie... First he was an illegal alien from mexico so he couldn't play for the U.S. national team even if he wanted to... Second is that it is about having pride in the country that you were born in....
He wanted to play for Mexico because his father would have wanted that. I wonder if good enough who David Estrada is gonna play for someday
