This announcer is getting wwaaaaaayyy too rhapsodic. He needs to dial it back until the final whistle.

Hamburg just got off a decent shot. I agree, Fulham need to knock it around...looks like they're getting a bit nervy...

HSV with some danger in the area. Stout defending from Fulham to put it out.

Fulham trying to kill off the last 10 minutes now. I say add another goal while you're hot.

Fulham with a lucky block on that volley. If that shot is hit cleanly, Schwarzer would have had a tough save to make.

Didn't he net 2 against Juve? Not an unlikely hero.

The beginning of the thread overstates this. He started and went 90 in their last home European match, and had a slight injury before the first leg of this round. He was "benched" because Hodgson knows what he's doing and has some sort of reason.

You must have an English feed. The German announcer is frantic, not rhapsodic.

He just briefly switched to English: "Very British"

In all serioiusness, much like with McBride in years past, Fulham players become better players went Clint is on the field.

Come on boys. 10 more minutes....

Not good enough from Clint there. He needed to take the ball down and wait for support. Not try to one time it with his head. Outcome: He delivers it right back to the Hamburg cmid.

It's still too early for Fulham to stall in the corner.

The Hamburg defender taking his frustrations out on Dempsey, but he was un-intimidated by it.

He's shitting himself. Mind you, he's doing it efficiently, being German and all. :)

Brede, you do NOT need to dribble up the left side when holding the scoreline is the most important thing right now.
