BIG 3 points 66!!! and in impression fashion too... we get scored on first, but get the next 3 goals AWAY from Home Park... important win for us, we still are 5 points from safety, but maybe this is the turning of something..

Cooper didnt get in today???? what gives?

I think Cooper did'nt get on because Mariner did not want to disrupt things as they were going so well. Argyle made a major change to start the game by starting Noone instead of Judge, usually Judge starts and Noone comes on as his sub, so when Noone was subbed everyone thought Judge would come on instead it was Bolasie, who has never played in the championship. He has been out on loan in Div 2, and was recalled a few weeks ago. At the present time in the MOM voting on Pasoti Bolasie is leading, supposedly his speed changed everything and opened up Barnsley's defence. Bolasie was the only sub used today.
Next game is home to Swansea that will be a tough game so lets enjoy the victory today.

we cant drop 3 points at home... if we could put together a nice unbeaten streak.. and get some help from the people above us, we could be in a better position...

i still think its a long shot to survive... but will battle with the boys until its settled... COYG!!!! we love ya here in the States!!!

Well we dropped 2 points tonight Argyle 1 - Swansea 1

Swansea scored 30 secs after 2nd half kick off, something like 18 passes between Swansea players left their forward running through the middle on a breakaway.

Kenny Cooper came on in the 61st min

    Argyle's goal came like this

A string of promising corners followed as the Pilgrims looked to turn the screw and they were duly rewarded with a penalty was awarded after Andrea Orlandi inexplicably handled in the area.

Swansea tried some mind games with a substitute before the kick and with usual spot-kicker Alan Judge on the bench, it was Jamie Mackie who stepped up.

After a long delay, he finally took his run up and pushed a soft penalty into the hands of de Vries. But it was finally time for Argyle to be granted some luck and Hill pointed for a re-take with the linesman signalling for encroachment.

Another long delay followed, Kuqi was booked for descent, before this time Damien Johnson stepped up to the kick. Mr de Vries made another great save but his palm away fell straight at the feet of Johnson who smashed home the rebound in front of the Swansea fans to send Home Park wild.

So 2 takes of the same penalty by 2 different players and they still could'nt score, only scored on the rebound.
At least it's apoint, unfortunately other results around us at the bottom did'nt help

Actually OG, that wasnt a bad result for us (peterborogh winning) they beat Ipswich which keeps them a bit closer..

as far as our goal goes... i guess we shouldnt complain that we never get any breaks... having a penalty retaken for encroachment, and the retake is saved, but we crash the rebound home? thats some lucky stuff..

5 points from safety, 6 really... if we can put a good unbeaten string together, maybe, just maybe...

maybe we play for a tie with the big boys... and try and take all 3 points from teams around us... who knows.

66... what did you think of the game?

Kenny Cooper not impressing the fans on Pasoti

    http://www.pasoti.co.uk/talk/viewtopic.php?t=40286

There has been a rumour floating around that if Cooper impressed Argyle and he was impressed then a transfer at end of the season was already agreed and could be nearly a million pounds, if not he will return to the German team.

Cooper getting some minutes.... but are they productive minutes.. is he getting any chances???

a tie is better than a loss... if the people around us can keep losing, we are getting closer to safety..we are 5 point from safety i think...

66... did you see any of the game?

Unfortunately not....but Cooper, once he's 100% match fit will be fine and will score some goals for Argyle.

3-0 down then we score 2 goals and then our goalie makes one of the biggest boobs of his life, he catches the ball and instead of booting/throwing it down the field he rolls it on the ground to kick it down field and does'nt realise there is a Sheffield player behind him, who runs around the goalie gets the ball and puts it into the open net.
At least the players responded and came back and scored again and kept pressing till the bitter end. The players are still being positive and pushing but we keep giving up stupid goals.

Cooper played for the reserves tonight, who won 2-0, Cooper did not score but as one person who was at the game said "Cooper showed glimpses but i think there is an awful lot more to come from him!"

is it me, or are his minutes dwindling down.... didnt he start a game for the full side, then off the bench, now in a reserve game.... are they trying to get his fitness up??

i would hope he would shine in a reserve game... but he needs to do something in the full games.

He hadn't played in almost 3 months when Argyle took him on loan.....so I'm not sure what, exactly, they expected......he is obviously still not match fit, when he is he'll do well.

didnt he just play in a reserve game? maybe working himself back into fitness...

boy i hope he gets fit soon, as we are slowly fading deeper and deeper away from safety.. we are gonna have to hit a run of good form or we are toast.

I was at the game against QPR, it was dreadful. I've nto seen a team look so unlikely to score as Argyle did, no threat at all. QPR weren't very good at all but dealt with us embarrasingly easily. The players looked like they'd given up, that performance wouldn't have been good enough for League One. The points gap really doesn't matter now, it's League One for Argyle next season.
