Javito is a right winger, and mostly comes from the bench. Daly has only played one game, and most probably will be Adu's sub on the left. As for Fernandez, we use him in the middle. And he's not really a bench player, he was great untill he got injured and had to stay out for 3 months. So yes, it will most probably be Adu on the left and Calvo on the right in most games.

and what about Meriem? i don't really see him as a substitute, so he's gotta line up somewhere right?

Err, I don't know much about Meriem, haven't seen him play, except that cup game against Xanthi. He hasn't played a game in six months, so it'll take time for him to regain match fitness. But if he is that good, he'll play in the middle along with Nafti or Fernandez (I know my Bolivian friend here will be dissapointed to see Nacho on the bench, but he had some bad games this month).

i tell you what guys my interest in Greek soccer had been none whatsoever until this move. Now im absolutely mesmerized with the support and passion of you guys. You Aris guys have made it a real pleasure.

I dont think it can be emphasized enough how much passionate support has helped elevate the games of Adu and EJ they both really, really needed this and your cheering them on is something theyve needed in the worst way. Your support is going a long way to helping them revive their careers

Yep. If his level lowers he deserves to be on the bench. For his sake i hope he takes this red card time off to get i nbetter form and come back stronger!

Nacho was out for 5 months due to injury so i think its normal that he cant play for 90 minutes. Bad luck for Nafti and Fernadez made him come back faster than expected.

Back when Gus Kartes was still set to be a star, he went to Olympiakos. I never understood why he didn't try a bigger league (I assumed at the time, right or wrong, that he could have). When explaining why he chose Greece, he spoke of the passion and spectacle of Greek soccer. It never made sense to me. Until now.

Flashman, yes, Eddie's run with the ball deserves more attention. Defenders have to be scared to see a guy that big, and that fast, running at you. He's obviously not Ronaldo - not even close, of course (then again, who is?) - but if he can do that on a regular basis, but w/ better finishing, he'll be a terror in Greece and squarely back into the USMNT picture.

Adu/Totti, yeah, it would be nice to see Freddy played as a #10. I think most of us think that's his best role, the place where he truly shines. I like him playing on the wing, though, since this maximizes his chances of playing time (I just don't see managers turning over a team's offense to someone as young as Freddy).

I guess I'd like to see him on the right, though, since he could cut left and then shoot w/ his stronger foot. If he really has finally found a team where he will play regularly and shine, and this does get him back into the USMNT picture (good start, but it's still early)...him terrorizing teams from the right, w/ Landon on the left...well, it would be fun to watch.

And Freddy's penchant for springing players w/ long passes...well, Landon, Charlie, Beaz, and EJ all have speed to burn (not that they'll all make the squad, or be on the field at the same time if they did; just to say we do have speedy guys for him to pass to).

At first, thank you very much for the compliment. It is extremely important for us as fans to be complimented by people living kilometers away.;)
Secondly, many players revive their carriers playing for our teams. We hope they do so.

Yeah baby!!!! Adu made it!

I can't tell you how happy I am for seeing that fella getting in the scoresheet! It was a very important game for us and we got it, despite the UNBELIEVABLE rain we had to undergo for 2,5 hours; the freaking weather prevented thousands of Aris fans to go to the stadium...

    1 assist
1 goal and almost another one
+ very good skills and technique

    ...so far!

I kinda feel like Adu is recompensating all of us who kept reassuring you that our club was the right choice for him! Even in the first 2-3 games, where he didn't play, we never lost our faith in him and perhaps now we are getting our reward! It was very important for him to combine his home debut with such a crucial goal! Especially for his morale and the self-confidence it certainly gave him. His face expressions during the celebration of the goal, as well as during the interview right after the final whistle are the proofs of how happy he feels and how much passion/thirst he has to actually play and contribute as an equal member of a team.

His honest behavior brought back in mind his face expressions at the airport reception, all the laughs and smiles during the official presentation, as well as his mood at the Christmas Party we had inside the stands (where I talked to him personally).

I wanna tell you that people here absolutely LOVE when newcomers play well and make the difference; especially when it comes to Adu with all the hype that's been following him since his early years.

Anyway, I am sure you all feel happy for him, perhaps even more than we do! I just wanna reassure you once again that Freddy is having a great time here, he enjoys playing for us and we enjoy having him in the yellow jersey!

Freddy having some success means a lot to all of us Yanks. he has had terrible pressure on him since he was a kid. It sounds like Aris and Cuper were the correct choices for him!
