I have no access to Setanta which sucks. I'm doubt Arteta can go 90, nor should he at this point. Bily should be on the left. I think subbing in Coleman to RB and shift Neville to DM at the 60 - 70 minute mark is the order of the day. I would prefer Rodwell to start DM and keep Neville at RB but I'm unsure if Rod is fit. Hopefully The team has worked on fast counter attacks because this is Everton's best chance at scoring with Bily and Landon on the wings. Bily likes to bomb forward and landon loves to run at defenses with options, the two could make something happen. With Cahill in the middle moving forward between the three of them on a fast break anything can happen. I still don't feel Everton has realized the potential they have in Landon running at the defenders with options. Certainly Neville hasn't realized it or isn't capable of putting forward the incisive ball. It's not his style and I respect that. If someone would PM me with an upload link I would love to DL this game and watch it!!
Agreed, but that has nothing to do with Clichy being horrendous the past long while . anyway, here's to hoping Donovan starting on the left
I thought Zhirkov was a left-sided midfielder? Lahm wasn't as jaw-droppingly awesome in Euro'08 as he was in WC'06, but I'd still rate him with Evra and Cole as one of the best.
I think he is the best player in the world. I have seen him on TV and I have seen him live. How anyone keeps him from scoring over 90 minutes is a miracle. Besides his strength, speed and skill, he works like an animal for 90+ minutes.
With Senderos it's more comical. He can play at LB and he's quite decent at it. It was his performances there during the Euro which got him some fame.
Hey im going to have to miss the match because of an economics exam and i was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction. Are there any sites out there that upload entire games for download? or if not which websites should i try for a working stream. Thanks for the help
http://www.atdhe.net/ someone put me onto this site a little while ago and ive been watching way too much soccer ever since. the streams can be a bit unreliable at times but usually it works fine. enjoy!
As someone on the other side of the coin, if I have to give an exam when a match is on, you'd best believe my students better show up with smiling faces and enthusiasm.
You actually hold classes that coincide with mid-week EPL matches? What misfortune was visited upon you to make your heart so cold?
One year I actually taught a summer class during the World Cup--all night up screaming at the TV, all day up zombie professoring. Good times.
Classes are canceled due to snow (well, due to reports that snow is coming)! So I get to watch the game after all. Hope there are some good streams.
I had a Spanish professor (from Barcelona) that would mysteriously cancel class on Champion's League game days. He never came out and said it, but I knew what was going on.
Which is true for most people and is why Setanta will close it's doors in America in the near future. They never seemed to play ball with the right cable providers to catch on in America. Serves them right. FoxSoccer channel viewers thanks you for you poor management. Sorry for the threadjack, back to regularly scheduled viewing.
Your "serves them right" is misplaced. It's very difficult these days to be an independent cable network -- even if you're willing to "play ball" -- when your primary competitor (FSC) is part of a media empire (NewsCorp) willing to shoehorn FSC into package carriage agreements alongside Fox, Fox News, and the Fox regional sports networks. Setanta's only options were to be sold for peanuts or to go out of business.
True, at least for anything like sports (it can be a little easier to get going if your specialty is some kind of cheaply made original content). But OTOH, splitting a niche market like soccer wasn't going to do the consumer much favor in the first place. (I know you might be thinking "GolTV" here, but it's something of a different issue when two channels are trying to hit a different demo. FSC and Setanta were both aiming at what I'll call the 'pub crowd', and that audience is not very large to be split like that). But I'm curious to see how Fox is planning on carrying a basic cable outlet and a premium cable outlet that each offer broadly comparable programming. It's a somewhat awkward position to be in.
1914: Everton v Chelsea line-ups: Everton: Howard, Neville, Heitinga, Distin, Baines, Donovan, Arteta, Osman, Bilyaletdinov, Cahill, Saha. Subs: Nash, Vaughan, Gosling, Yakubu, Senderos, Rodwell, Coleman. Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovic, Carvalho, Terry, Ashley Cole, Lampard, Mikel, Zhirkov, Anelka, Drogba, Malouda. Subs: Hilario, Ballack, Paulo Ferreira, Kalou, Sturridge, Matic, Bruma. Referee: Alan Wiley (Staffordshire)
The free market system in action though. Find a way to get your product to the consumer at a price point the majority will be willing to pay, Econ 101. Pay per view just ain't going to get it done in this economy. To watch a lot of what was on Setanta you had tho pay the equivalent of one month's package fee for the digital sports tier in Comcast for just one match.
There's going to be a lot of pressure on Osman to be the ball winner in the middle, or Chelsea will have a lot of room to operate...
If he is lining up on the left again going up against cole arguably the best left back will be a very good challenge, especially since donovans pace will not be as big of a problem for a guy like cole. Hopefully landon will be able to prove dangerous against a defender the quality of ashley cole.
