Re: 18 Year-Old American Josh Gatt signs pro contract in Europe! Good for Josh Katt.... Bad for IU faithful looking forward to seeing him play....
Josh Gatt to Altach (Austria) Per TopDrawerSoccer, one of the top seniors in the Midwest, Josh Gatt, has signed with SCR Altach of Austria. Gatt, a midfielder, had verbally committed to Indiana but obviously won't become a Hoosier now. http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/supe...ll-club-archives/nid-14187/Willkommen-Mr-Gatt
Re: Josh Gatt to Altach (Austria) So, this is John Spencer's and Brett Goulet's doing? I'd like to learn more.
Re: 18 Year-Old American Josh Gatt signs pro contract in Europe! Wow, Interesting. SCR Altach is the former Club of Nate Jacqua, they also have Armando Ochoa, although I have no clue if he's featured w/ SCR Altach 1st team.
Re: 18 Year-Old American Josh Gatt signs pro contract in Europe! this really sucks for IU......sigh...
Re: 18 Year-Old American Josh Gatt signs pro contract in Europe! Jesus, was that written by a marketing guy or what? THE US WILL WIN THE WORLD CUP but only if you pay for our system...
Re: 18 Year-Old American Josh Gatt signs pro contract in Europe! uniteo... I don't think players will pay to become professional. Doesn't it normally go that a player is paid to become professional. I think it is great that American's are choosing Europe. The training environment is much better. I am curious about this "system." Normally though it is the clubs who are paying players to be professional not the other way around.
Re: 18 Year-Old American Josh Gatt signs pro contract in Europe! "This past summer, Gatt received international recognition with his participation in the Discover Europe™ Tour" Josh has worked hard for this and truly deserves it. The SuperElite® system gave him the foundational opportunity I'm pretty sure that ain't a charity...kinda diminishes my opinion of TopDrawer Soccer as a news source

Re: Josh Gatt to Altach (Austria) Jaqua did and played pretty well. I was a little surprised they didn't extend his contract. Edit: He scored 5 goals in 13 games.
Re: Josh Gatt to Altach (Austria) They offered him an extension but he decided to go back to the States.
Re: 18 Year-Old American Josh Gatt signs pro contract in Europe! Forget the charity or not...it is great to see an American Kid get an opportunity to play in Europe. I hope Josh has a great career in Europe. Good Luck kid!
Re: 18 Year-Old American Josh Gatt signs pro contract in Europe! plenty of American kids are getting tryouts in Europe I don't like everybody being convinced they need to spend a couple grand a year to get a tryout opportunity...or a sniff of a scholarship
Re: 18 Year-Old American Josh Gatt signs pro contract in Europe! Omg. Cap. Him. Now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great step for him, I don't know how much he would learn in one year of college soccer if he planned to go pro anyway.
From a YA.com article on Gatt: "The plans for me in the first season are that they want me to get there early in June and work on the kinks in my game," Gatt said of his plans for his first year. "But then they want me hopefully to be the starter on the first team by their first game in July." Apparently he also attracted interest from Mainz.
