    Awesome news.

But Adu and SPEED? Adu was never known for speed. Did he became fast while sitting on the bench over the past years? Or is the Greek league just a step or two slower in terms of pace?

He's been doing nothing but wind sprints and free weights for 2.5 years.

    He's no longer man...he's machine...

Freddy: I know now why you cry, Eddie, but it is something I cannot do. Lower me into the steel.

Eddie: Grown ass men don't cry.

Or as is expected with male athletes, they continue to build speed and strength until around 25-26. I thought this was common knowledge?

So if Adu plays, goes 90, and plays superb?

More likely two or three will explode with 2.5 years of pent up and unnecessary "I told you so's".

.....and the Fire Bob threads will heat up with the "he should've been supporting Freddy all this time" talk.

Let's let Freddy stay on the field through the end of the Greek season, same for Eddie.

Seriously, I don't know what people expect. He's not going to prove anything in a game or two, no matter how well he does or doesn't do. Let's see if he can earn and hold on to a starting spot, or even regular playing time. Then we'll see where his game really is.

The irony is that there are maybe 1 or 2 guys on BS who said he was a joke and destined for failure. Everyone else has been (for the most part) patient...

So basicly those "I told you so" guys will be yelling at...wait for it...wait for it...no one. It's gonna be pure comedy if/when it happens.

Just to clarify: Freddy is not fast. He can be quick.

    Adu on twitter:

It sounds as if Cuper has decided to work hard with him! ;)

Nice to hear that he's training hard! :)

FWIW we've heard it all before. Since going to Belenenses he has really tried to use Twitter to (Bobby?) convey that he is really working hard.

Judging from all the other players' statements, I don't think Adu is lying or pretending he is working hard. The training sessions are often double per day and extremely tough.

After Cuper's hired, there have been a lot of interviews where the players underlined the importance he gives to the preparation of a game, in both physical and tactical terms.

    new thread title suggestions:

1)Freddy you better work hard because is not Aris-on-the-line
    2) Adu believe this is your last chance Freddy so make the best of it

    it's called back-pedaling. :p

Its more then 1 or 2, but then there are many posters who have blind faith in Freddy, that his talents are world class.

I am in between, I know what he is capable of, but to what level? He can play, but will he ever achieve the ability to do what he did at the youth level at the adult level at the highest point, like in the CL or in any of the top 3 regularly?

Hopefully good play will help him gain his confidence, and ability to take on players and in return will leave his other teammates unmarked, perfect for his through balls.

I hope he uses aris as a launching pad, and also helps them out along the way.

But first things first, he has to impress at aris before we all jump to conclusions, like i badly want to. :p

Do you actually believe this will be his last chance in Europe? Or are you saying that for dramatic effect?

I've seen several people say that, and frankly I don't buy it for a second.
