    Love this tournament.

Love that it here in Charleston, the shaking off the offseason blues and getting back together with the rest of the fans.

love the tailgates, pub crawls, early morning EPL matches at the Madra Rua.

Love hanging out with fans from the other teams!

March 13 wont come soon enough IMO!

Consider this part done - the only remaining question - how many do we need?

I would say 50-75. I think we had about 40 or so for the pub crawl last year, Im hoping we see similar numbers this year. I know a few people who arent going to be able to make it that have said they want one regardless. Plus I imagine a few people would want a scarf representing the four teams.

thank LBB, but CoachGT has the connection for us this year.

Looking like 12 @ the Douchehouse, down from Mar. 12-21/22.
Looks like we'll have drums in March too!

Coach has a house and I've got one rookie RPB coming - working on two more. We should have a pretty good showing there!

I'm arranging tickets to see the Sting Rays hockey on Sunday afternoon, if anyone wants to join us. A few of the Toronto folks will be going. The more, the merrier!

I'm guessing it's Sunday the 14th, not Sunday the 21st?

Yes, the 14th. They play Friday (12th), Saturday (13th) and Sunday (14th) against the same team, then play them twice more the following weekend in Florida.

By the third game, these two teams should really dislike each other, making for an eventful game!

Should be interesting to see how competitive Battery is after moving down a division.

    Welcome to the Forums G4A4

    It will be interesting.

I think the Battery will be very competative, within USLD2.

But during the CCC? Alot of it will be determined by how many players stay on this season. There are several players that are training here now. Plus the Battery has historically used the tournmament as an extend trial for some players.

Historically, the Battery start their preseason a week or so before the tournament. I expect the Battery will be competitive during the tournament and I look forward to some good matchs

I'm currently located in Hilton Head but planning a move in Charleston in early March and this sounds like a good way to initiate myself in to the Chucktown footie scene. Pardon my naivety, but this is in no way affiliated with the swanky Carolina Cup horse race (also in March) is it? What's the deal, just some good-natured binge drinking with a few matches peppered in there?

You'll be welcomed! Alot of us hang at the Madra Rua pub watching what ever match is on the TV.

an not there is no affiliation with the horse race. it is a pretty competative tourny for hte teams, but a good way to see soem live footie after a long off season. It just works out that the TFC and DC fans travel well and enjoy it here. so there will be tons of drinking. not to mention it the week of st. paddys and second round Champions league gmaes and the big ManU-Liverpool match on Maar 20.

join the regiment facebook page for all the "pre and post" match shenaigans...

Where are you guys staying this year? FB, Sullivan's, some other island?

As my own FB, I like to stay on Folly Beach :), but we might try something different this year, haven't made concrete plans yet.

Me, Big Dave Stud, and Mrs. BDS have been looking into going back to Folly Beach this year. Apparently a lot of the places are already booked because it's St. Patrick's Day week and probably Spring Break week as well.

I know TFC has two house right now on Isle of Palms right now. (King Dave's Douchehouse and CoachGT's coach's corner) I understand there are others ocming down too but might be looking into there own places...

I havent personally looked at availablity this year but LBB is right, it is St. Paddy's week but also the last weekend is a large Youth Soccer tournament with something like 170 teams registered. I know the Battery has met with the organizers and they are promoting the Saturday the 20th match heavily.

here is a great resource for seaching for rental in the Charlesotn area
