Was playing with a bunch of friends in a tournament today, pretty much everyone who was horrid last year now manages to score in this game. Something about it is just easier to master.

Just hooked my 360 back up to the internet to fix the stupid Manager Mode bug where it freezes after games. Anyway, started playing online again for the first time in months and reeled off 5 straight wins. Then I completely outplayed Mexico with USA, hit the post 3 times and lost 2-1. Weird thing is EVERYONE was picking Chelsea so I said what the hell and kept picking Arsenal. Just finished another Arsenal/Chelsea and I lost in penalties despite having Vermaelen sent off and having 66% possession AND being up 2-0. FIFA gets my blood boiling, no wonder I stopped playing online:mad::D

Need to work on my finishing, the reactions are so much slower online and I keep running into the keeper when I should tuck it away. Doesn't help it's always against Chelsea and Cech is practically unbeatable. I've played 7 games in this stint and 5 times people picked Chelsea, that USA/Mexico I mentioned was the only different match-up aside form the best of all which was styling all over Citeh with Villa. This game really is awesome I'm gonna be up all night.:)

EDIT: My XBL tag is TomHarkinBYAH if anyone ever wants to play. We should get a BigSoccer CFC league going.

Those crosses that turn into goals are cheap (unless those are all chips) but wow... that one where Rooney flicks it back and volley into the corner, unbelievable. One thing that video does show is how some people will only play with the very best teams in the game:(Best thing is at the end when the guy quits hahahaha. I need to create a pro to learn all the skill moves. I don't even know how to fake shot/cancel shot.

The thing I've developed into my game that's really helped is using LB to get someone to make a run.

Plus, from the video I linked above - when through on goal, press LB to stop, then LT+X to scoop the ball over the keeper... far more effective than LB+B

I cannot stand playing online, at all. I choose Napoli, and this guy goes from Besiktas, to effing Chelsea. COME ON MAN. On top of it all, he doesn't change his lineup at all and presses start right away, and just runs at me with Drogba all game long.......can't stand it.

It's even worse when my shots and passes don't go off for a full second....

You know how your favorite team is the default when you go online? Well, just now I played a guy whose default was Real Madrid. He doesn't hesitate at all and goes straight to Barca:rolleyes:Anyone have tips for playing Barca? I simply cannot get the ball off them, even an average player can spam one-touch passing (too easy in this game) to get it to the front three... Ibra is almost a cheat player, better than Drogba even. I don't know if I've beaten anyone who uses Barca online yet, it's really frustrating.

L>G, that pisses me off too. You had no chance against Chelsea. Drogba is ridiculous and Ballack is soooooooooo overrated his shots rip through the net. I don't actually like using Chelsea because Carvs, Alex and JT are so slow. I feel I'm pretty damn good at this game but my defending lacks at times especially when I get frustrated. It's practically impossible to use a team with slow defenders. Yesterday I made the mistake of picking Bremen against the Valencia Villas... I dominated possession and shots but could not stop that bugger from running in behind the slowest backline of all time (Mertersacker and Naldo). It's so tough to keep your defenders back and I feel the only way I ever get scored on is when I give up 1v1s by dicking around on the ball or simple balls over the top.

EDIT: Also, Fernando Torres. I just got the biggest asspounding of my life. It was 5-1 in the first half and I turned it off and I never quit. He scored all 5 goals.

The way I defend is to use the secondary pressing defender (by pressing X) and then position the main player to cut off passing routes and wotnot.

My FIFA 10(for 360) has started collecting dust ever since I had a record of about 26-4? and then I lost a bunch of games in a row to a suddenly hard group of players. The type who are suddenly amazingly good at tricks...personally, I have no interest in using many tricks, I'm a pass and move type. I won't be able to keep up with these guys for now so I temporarily retired my record at 26-8..

My proudest moment was when I was 6-1 down against some dude(Borussia user actually, IIRC) and I brought it to 6-5, then missed an open net and, after, hit the bar. It was Carew ffs! How I didn't score, I will never know :(

My greatest moment will have been me being 3-0 down against Barfa.....I literally felt that I had zero chance of coming back and all of a sudden I scored one....and then two....then it's 4-2........4-3.......bam, Anelka from 38ish yards out catches the keeper slightly out of position with a low driven shot, one timed it. Won it in the 120th in extra time. :D

Coming back 4-0 down in MM against United to tie it was nice too.

I probably could i guess, but i don't really feel like playing against people i don't "know". Thanks for the tip anyway ;)

BTW isn't there some sort of league competition setup in fifa10? Is it possible to setup a comp between people from this forum?

    Whats your gamertag?

Love all 3 of those maps, the only map I always skip is Karachi. I don't care much for Skidrow either, but I'm getting used to it.
