so any rumors of teams coming in? who would you like to see?

Always have a good time with the DC and TFC fans. Heard some rumors about Philly. With there expansion team, they might be a good fit. Chicago might be fun with McBride.

Not really interested in FC Dallas or Houston as we have seen them alot over the last couple years in USOC play.

How about Carolina, Montreal, and/or Vancouver? ;)

On a serious note... Philly makes a lot of sense. I'd bet they'd bring quite a few fans with them -- similar to Toronto and DC. I'd go for those three.

I enjoy the MLS teams when they are in town but I have to say I enjoy the interaction with the fans from the other teams more. The pub crawl last year was great fun and the tailgates are always a blast.

I'd love to do a small run of scarves for the pub crawl, I had a great design just didnt have time to do a small order. Hopefully this year

My vote is for Toronto FC again, Philly, DC United

Another vote for TFC, Union, and DCU. I think all three of them would bring it. I think you get further west than Houston or FC Dallas and it gets too hard to travel to for the fans.

And with the MLS cup win, Real Salt Lake revives the tradition of the winner of the Carolina Challenge Cup winning the MLS Cup or MLS Supporters Shield.

Any idea of dates? Planning on booking a beach house again this year. Several TFC fans plan on coming regardless of who is playing, although there have been comments made by some TFC management that perhaps we are headed back there this year.

If no TFC, then you've got a few more Battery supporters for the tourney!

I heard their might be an announcement next week, but if not the Regiment (our supporters group) has a meeting on Dec 12 and Andrew Bell is coming, If he wont leak out the teams, Im sure he'll have the dates they are looking at.

It will be good to see you Coach!

Does the defending CC Cup champ generally get an invite back? I recently relocated to NC from SLC and it would be great to travel down to Charleston for a few days in March to catch some matches if RSL is invited back. Cheers!

Why on earth would we invite Philthy FC ?

You guys would get a better turnout and quality on the pitch if you invited the Beaufort U-12 girls team.

I understand that their were six MLS teams that were interested in playing in the CCC this upcoming year.

Ive been told two of the three teams have signed contracts and they were hoping to get the third team nail down last week but with the holidays, it looks like it might be early this week.

Ive heard five teams names. I'm thinking we'll find out some something soon

Our tailgates are starting to become a party in itself. Pleanty of awesome food (venison, seafood, pork tenderlions),

Spence still offers but after getting a couple dozen kegs off him for free, we started offering him for money and tend to bring a 12 pack or case for the cooler.

Spence and Stephen's place, the Madra Rua has become THE place in town to watch matches. Not uncommon for their to 30 to 50 for weekend matches. The place was packed for the recent ManU/Liverpool match,

any chance you'll get back up this way?

they have been in the past, but I believe the last couple years the dates have conflicted with the CONCACAF Champions league dates I believe.

Regardless you should try to make it down for a match or two, Always a good time.

OK, I'll go ahead and take a crack at the lineup (I have no insider intel like Mikey.....he's a big muckety-muck now!!).

    Toronto, New England and Houston.

Not too shabby for a USL2 team, eh? That's a better preseason than any other USL1 or NASL team will rustle up......In the words of Kathy Griffin.....SUCK IT! :D

Gonna bet the one is Toronto :p

So my guess will include them, Chivas and DC....only because they'll bring fans

    New England? Chivas?

I'm going with Toronto and an East coast team, but still not sure about my 3rd pick.

Chivas wouldn't be my pick personally...but if they are looking to get fans in the gate then I would bring em based on how many showed up for the Open Cup game this past year. If they do come we should be able to at least claim 1 win and finish no worse than 3rd...lol

The Challenge Cup is too small of a tourney for the MASSIVE Columbus Crew and it appears that The Battery know that, hence no invite!

I will be there in March with the largest ever TFC supporters presence in Charleston.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the tailgate, Three Lions and @ the pitch.
And guess who'll be playing on the final Saturday morning?
    Liverpool & Man United, AGAIN!
Jonathan and I will right where we were last year, front and center @ the Madrua, as the Scoos get loose 'bout the hoos!
    See ya'll in March, KD.
