Hi guys, As many of you already know, Luis Herrera and I, with a group of journalists of different countries, have started our own webpage called PasiónSports. It's formatted like a news page but it's, in fact, composed only of opinion pieces. We are very excited with our project, the only one of its kind in Latin America, and will be launching it oficially next Monday, with the introduction of a star columnist. For the moment, we are in the beta phase, and already have been including some quality pieces. We have had very good acceptance so far and our users have been increasing every day. So, I'd like to invite you to check it out. I'm very happy to be part of the BigSoccer community and value very much your opinion. So please let me know your thoughts and ideas to improve it. The link is www.pasionsports.com. Cheers Martín del Palacio P.S. There is another valued BigSoccer member who has just published his first piece, I don't think you'll have much trouble to identify him

Hey Martin...it would be great if you guys ran a story on the impact that mexican football gives to the libertadores...financially speaking...ive tried looking for numbers but theres nothing... like what it was before fmf participated and what it is now...
Santander has never released the actual amount that they paid for the Libertadores. The numbers you would be interested in would be in ratings. if you google ratings; interliga, sum, you will find many articles of hispanic business wire as well as others as to how well the MFL teams do with ratings. They keep shattering viewing record every year.
yeah ive already seen those numbers...im just really interested at what would have conmebol done if mexican teams were never brought in...im sure the difference in profit from before and after are are facking ridiculous. Alot of southies are saying that it would have been the same, with toyota and nissan's help but i seriously dont think they put as much money as santander is putting in for the sole reason that the market in the US is all mexican. is would be crazy looking at the added zeros to the right...
do a search BSMX .. but we do have on record a Santander official publicly stating that had Mexico's participation not been secured, they would not have gone through with the transaction.
