How to watch soccer (Chinese soccer in particular) on the web?

I used to, a long time ago, watch soccer on PPStream. But I got discouraged when it became difficult. Recently PPStream seemed to have stopped streaming any sports real time.

I think most people here, especially those who can't watch the games on TV for a number of reasons, would love to be able to watch the games via the internet. So I'm going to sticky this thread for people to share information on the ways to do just that.

Basically, if you have free websites for live streams or live scores (on soccer or any other sports such as tennis), we want to hear it. :)

guys, UUSee is another p2p software where there are a few good channels for live soccer and some taped stuff.

i now use UUSee exclusively and don't use TVants or PPStream anymore.

i would say go searching around chinese torrent sites and you may have some luck of finding some.

www.youku.com is a video sharing site and you may find something there.

Going to the Stadium to get that Live match feeling... ok... but why would you want to watch them play on a screen?
colleague went to see a match the other week, Shenhua vs... Somebody... Ref gave Shenhua a penalty, which would then tie the match and team "somebody" just walked off the pitch before the penalty was taken and came back 10 minutes later... I mean, funny yes, but why watch something on par with sunday morning Amateur football?

Because that "sunday morning Amateur football" is the only local football that people in Shanghai have. Most of the posters here are not based in China, so online is the only way they can watch the Chinese league.

That penalty incident involved a fan pointing lasers at the "somebody" (Liaoning) goalkeeper. But the referee did not manage the situation well. He did not warn the fan to stop via the public announcement system, instead he just yelled at the Liaoning bench repeatedly. But yes the league in general is not very professional.

You must go to the China Derby, Shanghai vs. Beijing, match this weekend. It'll be a fun experience.

I'd love to go and actually watch a game, especially Shanghai Beijing, should be interesting ;-)
But that's the point I was trying to make, going to watch a game, you get the whole admosphere that goes along with football, not quite what it is in Europe, but still... but actually watching a game online or on tv? I used to love going to the football pitch on Sundays (when the big boys played, we played Saturdays) and watch my team play, wouldn't sit at home and watch it on the tele though... besides, all the local channels here have EPL, and far as I know, most chinese football fans haven't a clue who's in the local teams (keep in mind I use the term "fans" very loosely, not talking about real supporters here)...

    Make sure you go.

I understand your point. Sometimes there are better things to do, i.e. go outside and actually play football? :D But online is the closest I can get to following Shenhua. :)
