Event name: UFC 100: Lesnar vs. Mir 2
    Date: July 11, 2009
    Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
    Venue: Mandalay Bay Events Center
    Broadcast: Pay-Per-View (10pm ET)

    MAIN CARD (televised)

Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Frank Mir (c)
    UFC Heavyweight Championship Unification
Georges St. Pierre (c) vs. Thiago Alves
    UFC Welterweight Championship
    Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson
    Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Alan Belcher
    Jon Fitch vs. Paulo Thiago
    PRELIMINARY CARD (un-televised)

    Mac Danzig vs. Jim Miller
    Stephan Bonnar vs. Mark Coleman
    Jon Jones vs. Jake O’Brien
    C.B. Dollaway vs. Tom Lawlor
Jonathan Goulet vs. Dong Hyun Kim
    Matt Grice vs. Shannon Gugerty

Mir v Lesnar should be good. I think Mir will submit him again.
    GSP will win
Bisping v Henderson should be a good fight. After all the TUF show, it appears that Henderson will have something to prove after his guys didn't do well on the show. But I think Bisping takes it.

-- If Lesnar's stepping his submission defense game up the way he needs to, this could be a great main event. That said, Mir's going to come with a big bag of tricks to use. Looking forward to it.

-- GSP will win his defense, but it won't be easy.

-- I think Henderson's still got something in the tank - when he's on, he's damn good. But I wonder if Bisping might be too much for a guy who's probably in the decline of a great career. Can't call this one.

-- Winner gets a MW title shot at Anderson Silva - if Bisping wins, the fight will be in Manchester in November.

-- Looking forward to seeing Akiyama fight - there's got to be another fighter from the Japanese leagues that can make an impact over here, right?

-- Find it hard to believe that Bonnar vs. Coleman isn't on the main card. How fortunes change over time.

Dave Meltzer said it was the best wrestling buildup 1-hour show in 15 years. :D

As far as the PPV, go Lesnar and go St. Pierre.

I'm so feel so torn apart, I love GSP, he's the ********ing man, but I've really liked Thiago for a while now, and he's the up and comer. It's about to be a savage battle. :D

Check out Bill Simmons's podcast - yesterday's edition has Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter talking about the show.

Meltzer's been covering the UFC since day one and there's probably no better source of info out there.

GSP dominating Thiago Alves. At the end of the 4th round and before the final round, GSP turns close to his trainer and whispers "I think I pulled my groin."

Trainer Jackson: "I don't care that you pulled your groin. Hit him with your groin." :D

GSP is the man. Even in the 5th round and possibly with a pulled groin, he's taken down Alves 3 times.

1-1 for me tonight on the predictions.

GSP with the easy win as he controlled the whole fight.

Rush, the rightful champion. :D Poor Thiago, wasn't even close. He's just way too one dimensional to challenge such a complete fighter.

The guy blogging for CNN speculated that perhaps a GSP v Silva fight could be in the offing......That would be a mega-fight

Won't be for a long time, George has been fighting like no other for quite some time, and he would have to gain a whole lot of weight for it to be even.

Lesner wins by pounding out Mir.

Then acts like an ass. I hate that WWE crap he pulls. Too bad Dana won't take Fedor up on his offer of a 1 off fight with the UFC champ.

I watched GSP and Lesnar fights...both dominated...GSP can move up but who will challenge Brock? He's just too big and too explosive and he can wrestle like no other heavyweight.
Maybe Nogueira can submit him or Cro Cop can land a massive lucky kick to the face...
Next for Lesnar will probably be Velasquez (great wrestler, dominated Kongo) or Corwin (lights out power in win vs Gonzaga) since they are both coming off big wins.
The best match-up would, of course, be Lesnar vs Fedor but that will never happen.

Lesnar's a phenomenal heel. Paul Heyman taught him well. Although I don't really see the difference between what he did post-match and what Mir did in the Countdown show.

You gotta have respect for a guy that stands in front of a Bud Light logo and says he's gonna go home and drink a Coors Light. :D
