This movie really upsets me, Santi, the main focus of the movie was a US citizen and grew up in the U.S. but plays for Mexico in the World cup. This is a movie about a mexican american sellout, if you grew up in the U.S. then you should play for the U.S.

he was an illegal in america, he climbed through a fense over the boarder as a child. when he was working in the kitchen and wanted to be a waiter the manager asked if he had his green card yet and santi said no. he is not an american citizen

loved the first two, although the 2nd was a little slow in spots.

movie really was truthful, a great talent playing in the city of LA, and no US Soccer person ever saw him.

Happens so much it is unbelievable. after all after the age of 10 no one can be great if they aren't in a great program.

US Soccer has it so wrong.

Fandom first, then the world cup will happen. will an 0-3 confederation cup help change the tune. probably not

and in Goal 5 FIFA puts in a new rule allowing dual national players to switch national teams at any time, and he changes to the USA and beats Mexico 2-0 in the world cup.

Yeah, it's an absolute shame that Touchstone Pictures gets it but not USSF.

The movies are sponsored by Adidas, so he had to play for a national team that's also sponsored by them. Before Adidas started supplying the kits for Mexico, he was going to play for Argentina in this movie via some strange rule about his grandparents' nationalities.

Hey guys, thanks for illegally downloading that movie and crapping on the tireless efforts of 100's of men and women who helped that film get made. Really glad an industry I am so thankful to be a part of can be so marginalized.

really, thanks again... fantastic to see.

The movie went straight to DVD, and yes he was gonna end up playing for Argentina but that was before the rights to this movie were taken by another studio(apparently the original company that owned the rights went bankrupt)so no more deal with ADIDAS. That's also the reason why the story changed so much and the overal movie looks so cheap compared to the other two.
