According to Tom Timmerman of the P-D, it looks like Kansas City might play a Superliga game at Hermann Stadium due to scheduling conflicts in KC. http://www.stltoday.com/blogzone/free-kicks/free-kicks/2009/05/mls-coming-to-st-louis-for-a-day/ Is Eads Brigade going to attend this as a group if it happens?
Can you believe all the people bitching about Cooper on Stltoday? I think it's funny - ever since he merged Gallagher and Busch, anyone who's kid plays for Lou Fusz, Metro Strikers or any other club absolutely hates him.
That's the thanks you get for taking a risk in St. Louis. And people wonder why we're a shadow of the city we used to be...
What are your thoughts of going to this. Personally, I have absolutely no desire to see the Wizards or Atlas. I dislike both teams --- But I don't want my personal dislike to be a factor on whether Eads Brigade goes to this game. The one thing that is a huge factor for me is Father's Day -- I love soccer and want a team badly - but compared to my kids, it means nothing. So, what is everyone thinking on this issue?
I'm in if anybody else is. I don't have kids and my father is deceased so there are no Father's Day plans for me. I don't have any feelings about either team good or bad. It's not a game I would ordinarily go to, if it weren't the one time we have a "professional" game here. So if there are a few people that want to go, I'll be there.
The problem for me is fathers day. I always go see my dad. Maybe I'll make the trip up Saturday or later Sunday. If it was an earlier game or later I think it would be better and not blocking your entire day. I'll see how many Laclede's Army people I can get there.
I guess since response hasn't been overwhelming everyone's on their own for tickets (instead of getting a group rate for EB), huh?
Unless something changes, that's how I would treat this - there was not much response. Law5 over on stlsoccer.net said he still has some $15 tickets but you have to get them today.
I was just looking at the Athletica website and saw this nice deal - tickets to both the Athletica Saturday game (rematch against the Freedom) and to the Wizards Sunday game - just $25.
