The EPL is taking action against many of the main sites, like Soapcast and co.. It's only a matter of time before these streams close down due to legal fears, many already have. Anyone who's paying a fee for these illegal streams is a moron, the person providing it has the same access to these as any one else. Lastly, the streams are absolutely awful and many contain viruses. If you want to view soccer online there are plenty of other legal options with much better quality that are relatively cheap.
Setanta by Broadband, ESPN 360, and Vividas (FSC). Plus most include archives to watch games you can't watch live.
Proof please. Also, relative to what? "Relatively cheap" is a relative term. Free is pretty cheap. SetantaJoe, eh? I don't suppose you have any sort of vested interest in Setanta?
I have an interest in the legality of the matter. The soccer people want to watch is available legally regardless of the platform, Setanta, FSC, etc. ESPN 360 is actually free for certain people. If you want to support illegal streams go ahead. The only people it hurts is those leagues television rights, since it devalues their product. If you don't have the money to pay for a subscription and are fine with going through illegal measures then have fun supporting your team through a tiny little window on the right side of a screen surrounding by foreign languages and pornography.
If that's all that you can get from free streams online then you're doing it wrong. Why don't you try some of the tips in this thread and you can find decent quality streams?
I didn't know about Fox Broadband. I have setanta broadband. I like it, but I used to be able to pause games, and now I can't. I also have Verizon so I can watch ESPN360. So between those, and now Fox Soccer channel broadband that covers basically everything you'd want to watch EPL, Serie A, and European competitions.
Maybe if Setanta had a ticker bar with pornography it would justify the $15 a month. I can sleep easy with my illegal streams. So why have ESPN not put forth the money and secured broadcasting rights.. its a shame shame for us state side, I just heard that ESPN didn't win the bid again and we are stuck with this situation until 2012.. any merrit to that?
To quickly answer your question.... the only rights sold were UK rights so far. US rights will come later. But read this thread from this page forward. It is an excellent discussion on the subject and has tons of information: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=720433&page=15
If you can't make the match, ain't got Sky Sports or Setanta, and finaly it's not on the cream an jelly then check this link out: http://www.asiaplatetv.com/football.php It always finds a game
HELP NEEDED!!! WHERE CAN I WATCH CHAMPIONSHIP GAME? I JUST WANT TO WATCH BIRMINGHAM CITY FC? ANY WEBSITES?
You can pay per game on soccernet.espn.go.com They give you the option to pick and choose what games you want to watch for the Champions League games. For Champions games ESPN will show one game and then ESPN Classic shows another later on in the day, but you are going to miss two. So buy them online if you dont want to watch the two that ESPN is showing.
I used http://www.satliveonpc.com/ last season. Cost about a fiver a year but could watch most football matches that were on from England and around the world. The only thing is the commentators are Japenese. Its like watching the football version of Takeshis Castle
Did you see what thread you're responding to? That's what this thread is for. Also, there's a report post button, it's right next to the rep button. It's the triangle with the exclamation point. That's what you use to report real spam.
I come here (well mainly past tense as I have found good information, largely thanks to this thread) hoping to find member verified sites (or real paysites), not 1 member post advertisements about paying to watch japanese streams. But anyway posting it is fine, but pretending to be a customer for an advertisement is maybe what go to me.
It seems like I have caused a bit of a stir. My apologies, rest assured that I am new to this site and frankly dont really know what I am doing yet! Hopefully noone has taken offence.
It would seem to me that the only real sources for watching games online that are true quality streams are: ESPN 360, Setanta Broadband...and that's it really. I have been trying to watch soccer online for years starting in 2000. There was one site called Videosport.com, (it is a differ site now). It used to host UEFA Cup matchs and then leave them as archive for free. That went under and every site that hosts soccer games has gone under since. They only last 3 years or so. The costs associated with this is very high. Licence and all only the big networks will be able to be true streams as they have revenue to burn on the broadband.
I have Setanta Broadband. It is sweet, but the replay videos are low quality. Also, Setanta Broadband quality in general is not nearly on par with ESPN360. Both have very different content however.
I am timid to try this as ESPN is plural in that line and he or she is a newbie..No offense HCD. Anyone try the site...let us know how good. Thanks,
