nice goal... although I have never been impressed with the quality in Austria.

    The keeper was completely frozen.

Have they taken the goal down...for some reason all of the other highlight clips show up except for the one for Zimmerman's goal.

Zimmerman will now be added to an incredibly long list of players to be featured in the CC Series of US Soccer highlights.

An amusing article (in German) points out that both of Zimmerman's Austrian goals came with his parents -- his mom the first time, his father the second -- in the stands. Apparently his dad will be at this week's match, too.

    I don't know...it just seems a bit self-indulgent.

A lot of us read NoShortCorners regularly, too.

this is rude and off topic. How do you think Preston would feel if he was reading this thread and saw people making fun of a fan who had posted his good goal? Please reconsider your attitudes.

As he's a former HSVer, I hope he can zimmer in a few more for KSV (rein zimmern is german slang for putting the ball into the net in a powerful way).

I'm guessing he wouldn't be as sensitive as one of the posters in this thread.

Noshortcorners is hardly the Ark of the Covenant. Most people who post around here know exactly what and where it is. Post something constructive, and maybe someone will rep you. Why do you even care? Begging for rep, you are likely to get it, but maybe not the kind you want.

Hey! Let's try posting something about Preston Zimmerman and see if it fits in this thread. Anyone got something to say about Preston Zimmerman? Good ol' Preston Zimmerman... Those were the days.

So is Preston on loan to Kapfenberg or has he in fact been transferred there. I keep forgetting this, and don't want to look thru the thread.

Someone mentioned that he had signed a multi-year deal with Kapfenberg IIRC.

Interesting that he seems to be playing Right Midfield.

That's good for the future. He's only an 88. Turning 21 (may have done already) this year.

Preston started and played 58 minutes today. KSV are currently beating Sturm Graz 3-1 now. Zimm was taken off with the score 1-1; the guy who came on for him scored the second goal for Kapfenberg.

I posted in the gameday forum, but highlights of the game are at my site. The match report showed that Kapfenberg didn't have any subs though I assume you saw the game?

Kapfenberg made all 3 allowable substitutions. Kozelsky for Zim, Liendl for Sencar in the 66th and Pejic fot Pavlov in the 73rd.
