Do you guys know how much incentives or bonuses the Singapore NT got for playing in the Suzuki Cup? Sea Games?
If U r asking abt the incentives for winnng Suzuki Cup, less than 1/2 wht Vitenam players r getting w/ the previous ASEAN crowns sawing the regulars get S$20000 (Nt US$) per players while those considered reserves getting a fraction of that based on appearences
Just a typical gloryhunter as she is unlikely to stick w/ Man U in tough time & will change clubs so that why she claimed she is always supporting the best They will nt be following EPL if they hve to fork up wht the UK fans r forking out as the attendences r dropping there in UK.
AFC Cup 2009 Draw Group H Home Utd Binh Duong (Vietnam) Club Valencia (Maldives) 1 Qualifier How do you view this group?
Ever wonder what's been going on with former Home United and national striker Egmar Goncalves, after he left Singapore in January 2007? With the help of Mr Renato Andreão, a journalist with "trivela.com" - a Brazilian soccer news portal, I managed to track down the former ace striker of the Protectors. Below is a list of Q & A, which with the help of Renato, here's what Egmar has to share with us how is he doing now since he left Singapore. http://www.bolasepako.com/2009/01/exclusive-q-with-home-united-legend.html

Was at the Toa Payoh Stadium to check out Balestier Khalsa and Woodlands Wellington. In an usual format, the match was split into three halves with 30 minutes each which in the end saw Englishman Daniel Hammond, signed from the Young Lions, scored the only goals to seal the game for the Rams. http://www.bolasepako.com/2009/01/friendly-balestier-khalsa-0-2-woodlands.html
maybe you have seen it.. but just share Nike Unleash copied by Li-Ning of China ?? Nike Unleash : Singapore Lion Li-Ning version more image from this blog: http://www.fubiz.net/blog/index.php?2008/07/21/1935-unleash-the-lions
this is interesting..first time heard of him. but funny facts from the wiki he's born in 1992, but was a member of OFK Beograd from 1994-2008 he's playing since 2 years old ?
read it in the wiki. OFK Beograd have youth development team from '96. so there should be some mistakens in Marijan Dong's wiki. perhaps it will be updated when he gets famous in Seoul.. and maybe eventually in Singapore.. --- by the way.. another knows whether this tee is still available ? it's for commeration of the last game in Kallang (vs Australia) been searching all nike shop, peninsula but haven't try queesway yet got the UNLEASH tees and Nike Singapore Scarf. looking for more..
I bought the tee-shirt at AMK's sportslink, while the scarf i got it for free when I covered that "last" event..hehehe so who is the Marijan Dong guy, he got everyone confused!!
a good article... Lions need change http://newpaper.asia1.com.sg/sports/story/0,4136,190466,00.html FATIGUE is the reason for the Lions' decline. I expected them to lose in Iran but not by that margin. SPH FILE PICTURE The Football Association of Singapore should take the blame because they have not planned the league fixtures well enough. The players do not seem to have the time to rest before joining national training - unlike Vietnam whose local league was long over. This way they could have prevented injuries. Yes, the Lions have not been performing well, and the coach should not look at players playing in the S-League alone. There are many leagues here like the National Football League to choose from. Look at the team in the 1980s and 1990s - some of them had players from the business and school leagues. Like Lee Man Hon, who played for the Institute of Technical Education (Bishan) and was selected for the national team that won us the Malaysia Cup. The Lions need new faces. Give them another chance to prove their worth. If they do get hammered when they play the Thais then it's time to re-haul the team. We want to see the Lions play attacking football like what we used to and being feared by our neighbouring countries when we did play that brand of football. Yusoff Hassim, 27, nurse
TD Slobodan Pavkovic has introduced the 24Basic move to imprve S'pore technical skills it will be introduced to all youth grps under FAS but it seem the TD is concerned abt the schools as they fall outside FAS He believed schools r too concern abt results (likely also too influenced by English football) thus r playing the ball too often So he is instructing all schools coaches accredited by FAS must follow It is a great start as it show that if TD just do a TD job & nothing else & nt like previous TD (No fault of their) who had other duties, changes will come.
Unfortunately it is nt as simple as planning S-league also hve to take into account the sponsors wishes for a league season that last no less than 9 mths $ talk as unlike other ASEAN leagues in the region, S-league do nt recieved $ directly from the gov Also it is nice to think we shld looked outside S-league but w/ the low standard of NFL (they cnnt even match Prime League teams) now it is difficult to find players that can make the jump to international immediately as even S-league players do nt make that jump like Ismail Yunus (the player that was the fans 'villian' for SC Vietnam & ACQ Iran), it take 1-2 years Unless NFL is willing to reform, which may then kill off a nos of teams & NFL clubs will resist that.
interesting facts.. apparently this Marijan Dong's ex-club OFK Beograd is also Raddy's (current Singapore's coach) last club he played for in his final career...
Was at Hougang Stadium just now to check the team everybody is talking about - Sengkang Punggol FC. BoLASEPaKO - a simple view on Singapore Soccer: Friendly: Sengkang Punggol 2-1 Home United Former teammates at club and national level, S Subramani(left)won the coin-toss and the kick-off, with ex-Lions skipper Aide Iskandar (right), now assistant coach-cum-skipper of Sengkang Punggol looked on.
24 steps to AC & WC That the idea from TD Slobodan Pavkovic who has introduced the 24 Basic move to imprve S'pore technical skills it will be introduced to all youth grps under FAS but it seem the TD is concerned abt the schools as they fall outside FAS He believed schools r too concern abt results (likely also too influenced by English football) thus r playing the ball too often So he is instructing all schools coaches accredited by FAS must follow It is a great start as it show that if TD just do a TD job & nothing else & nt like previous TD (No fault of their) who had other duties, changes will come.
