The J.League is a place where JJJ can score. Make no mistake. The Japanese plays some sexy football. But when it comes down results, the Japanese, in terms of both NT and League, have a pitiful track record against. So pitiful that I'm ashamed to call them our rivals.
Football. I don't care if I'm watching two "crap" teams playing wonderful football with fluid passing and creativity, I'd pick that over watching two "good" teams pulling everyone back, passing like a bunch of 12 year olds spending about 3 to 4 seconds every time they get the ball trying to decide what to do next. Football is entertainment. If it fails to entertain, it's a failure. JJJ's style may have just fit the J-League. Perhaps he got the sort of balls in and crosses that he requires to score. Maybe the K-League just sort of hangs back and boots the ball up front and hope that JJJ's new jean commercial will make him more likely to pull off an amazing run past five defenders and plant a rocket into the back of the net.
Again, which brings me back to my original post. Entertainment is a relative concept. I get a boner out of two teams running around and making sexy passes at the expense of defense, a la EPL, and I get a boner out of two teams hacking the shite out of each other in the midfield. And I wet myself when I see a joga bonito pass that breaks through that pressure, a la Argentina. But then again, I don't think you've ever seen JJJ play, lol. Finally, if you don't like it, just don't watch it. Don't think you can roll in here, talk smack about the K in front of a bunch of K-League fans, and expect folks to agree with you.
Regarding JJJ, I've seen him play and I do agree he's quite sh1t. I just don't know what there is in watching the K-League other than "they're Korean."
Yea there some common flow for K-league teams and also some different or distinct styles to each team. Suwon is physical pressure very.. straight line, verses Pohang has really fast and strong side. If team has offensive color thats effective, it gets plenty entertained. honestly, JJJ will probably better off playing in J-league because his style is still adjusted to his J-league (especially shimizu s-[ulse) style ... like coach commented he is used to handle his stuff inside box and failed to make some decent "movement" in and out (Choi Kang hee Jeongbuk head coach). If he is to play in J-league, he will be fine So right now I already see confirmed deals / on-going deals (초읽기) series from Korean clubs to J1/J2 clubs. as well as lee geon ho's (not J league) news ^^;; and i also saw 2 deals to Russia... but i dont see any - xfer ins or anything like that.. maybe clubs are working something out we'll see
I don't think it's had a huge impact. All the young Korean players are getting opportunities anyways in the K-League with others going abroad. And the AFC players hardly stick around in the K-League anyways, spending maybe 2 seasons at maximum in Korea.
