The qualifiers are on non FIFA match dates.

Grenada were also missing their European based playes like Jason Roberts , Blackburn.

The only side that have even a good amount of overseas players is Guadeloupe. Barbados have 1, Antigua have 0 (unless you count USL players G. Gregory and Byers who's season is over), Trinidad had a few, (McFarlane went back to Lebanon because his club called him back and Khaleem Hyland has a contract in Belgium and Jan Michael Williams plays in Hungary) but not their best players abroad, Jamaica do have a handful, but not their best players from England (a few from Norway like Luton Shelton and Demar Phillips from Stoke City reserves). Cuba's squad is made up mostly of locals anyway and Grenada have not called any of their English based players (Jason Roberts and Byron Bubb being the main ones), though they have Shalrie Joseph.

This is all off the top of my head so don't quote me on it

EDIT: Shit I forgot Haiti...see below

Haiti has 3 overseas players from what I know....Sony Norde playing in Argentina , Ricardo Pierre Louis from the Colombus Crew and James Marcelin of the Puerto Rico Islanders in the USL. I dont think its the teams that don't want their best players, its the players that don't want to play that tournament.

Wikipedia says Barbados 1:2 Trinidad and Tobago (final). If Grenada wins at Jamaica (that game I think is in progress now), Grenada advances and doesn't need to try in their last group game. Jamaica and Grenada are tied at 3 points, but Grenada has the opportunity to clinch advancement earlier because Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica play each other last game. Therefore both those countries can't tie Grenada on points if Grenada wins today but if Jamaica wins today Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada could both tie Jamaica on points making the point distribution 6-6-6-0.

Edit: CONCACAF says Jamaica 4:0 Grenada. This leaves Jamaica with 6 points, Grenada with 3, Trinidad and Tobago with 3, and Brabados with 0.

Haiti 2:3 Guadeloupe. Guadeloupe, Haiti, and Antigua and Barbuda are all alive for the second spot in the group.

Also the first time they've qualified for the Gold Cup and the third time they've made it to the Caribbean Championship semifinals.

Congrats to them that final goal they scored still has left a lingering bit of vomit in my mouth. Maturana and the entire team should be ashamed of the pitiful performance they put on in Jamaica. Inexcusable and Poor football all around, heads need to roll for this. I won't hold my breath though.........

(btw I'm not trying to diminish Grenada's achievement but in all three games T&T's standard of play was EXTREMELY poor)

    Cuba 0:1 Haiti
    Antigua and Barbuda 2:2 Guadeloupe

Guadeloupe advances over Haiti according to Wikipedia. Both countries had 4 points and a 0 goal differential. The tie could have been broken using goals scored or head-to-head, both of which favor Guadeloupe.

Cuba:Grenada and Jamaica:Guadeloupe are the semifinal matchups.

wish T&T Grenada and St Vincent formed a single team. We would be a force in CONCACAF and the idea isn't too far off considering that polictical union between the aformentioned is being touted.

I doubt it would help Trinidad that much, you'd get Jason Roberts, though I'm not sure he's better than Kenwyne, or perhaps even Scotty and Stern, and Shalrie Joseph, who would have to fight with Latapy, Yorke, and Birchall for a spot and Khaleem Hyland in the future. Maybe Wes Charles and Marlon James could help out from SVG, though James is in the same boat as Roberts (and probably not as good)

I think Shalrie and Jason Roberts are good players for any team in the world but both are getting on in age and in their positions they would have high competition. Anthony Modeste isn't bad either but he's also 33, and James and Charles are also both over 30.
