According to his club, he's there now (perhaps alongside Spencer Richey): Congratulations to Crossfire keeper, Keenan Gracey, who has joined the Reserves at Wigan Athletic Football Club of Wigan, Greater Manchester, England. Wigan plays in the Premier League, the highest level of football in England. Link: http://www.crossfiresoccer.org/USSDA/index_E.html It does appear he made the bench for the reserves in September: http://www.wiganlatics.premiumtv.co.uk/page/InReserve/0,,10429~1382797,00.html And was also on the bench (as "Keenan") for a more recent youth match: http://www.wiganlatics.premiumtv.co.uk/page/YouthTeam/0,,10429~1418667,00.html He appears to be a 91 and a big one at that (6' 6", 230 lbs). Edit: Here he is in a more recent Wigan reserves match report (unused sub). http://www.wiganlatics.premiumtv.co.uk/page/InReserve/0,,10429~1415628,00.html Looks like we can put this one in the books. Still trying to confirm the Richey news.
Looks like Gracey got injured in late October. Not much info to be had. http://www.wiganlatics.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Youth/0,,10429~1430720,00.html Edit: Looks like he was just ill. http://www.wiganlatics.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Youth/0,,10429~1431578,00.html
Would anyone have any info about Keenan Gracey ? Such as date of birth, place of birth, any former clubs etc I do the Wigan Athletic research for the game Football Manager (i think it may be called World Soccer Manager in the States) but it is really hard to get any info about our youth players as the club dont release very much info and i'm not allowed to go directly to the club to ask them this sort of thing.
DOB: Feb. 16, 1991 Here's all the info you could ask for, including his nickname Lurch, height, weight, etc: http://www.crossfiresoccer.org/teams/9850211/6087072-9850213/10969552.html Although it does through a kink in things, as it says he's actually Canadian with British citizenship, not American at all: NATIONALITY: Dual British/Canadian Went to high school in Ontario.
He went to highschool in kingston Ontario. This is also where he played his youth soccer for the Cataraqui Clippers. My brother played on his club and highschool team while he was in grade 9. For the record, the higschool was holy cross highschool.
speaking as a player who has played with and against him, he isnt good at all. the 11 shut out season was thanks to our defense on that team and the low quality of competition in the league, we won all but one game that year and we lost due to the fact that he let in several gimmie goals. as for KASSAA, his team only made it into eossa due to the fact that his high school was hosting the even. holy cross was scored 5 times in the second half while playing sydenham high school (keenan was in goal for all 5 of them). in the eossa championship they played sydenham again and won in overtime, however sydenham was missing 3 key players (a defender, a midfielder as well as a forward) who all played at a higher level beyond high school soccer. in our provincial season with Keenan. we found a replacement for him from out of town due to the fact that he was not playing up to OYSL standards. one weekend he was out of town for the Ambassador cup when we were 16 and had to play in a U18 division, and we won the tournament, afterwords the team was unanimous in the decision that replacement keeper was far better than Keenan. Need i say more? i have alot more to say if you want me to
I think we can (and should) probably move on. Perhaps a moderator would like to move this one to the Canada forum.
Yea Keenan is Canadian I played with him for a few years before he left for seattle in the 11th grade.. Hes from Kingston Ontario and we played for a small competitive club Cataraqui Clippers and for High school Holy Cross secondary. I remember when he left he wasnt even the most talented keeper in town just the biggest and hardest working. I could name 2 guys at the time obviously with more ability. But he Clearly had the best work ethic and the physical and finacial attributes to back him up. Hes about 6'6" and 230lbs Hes a good kid and I wish him all the luck in the world someone just tell him to knock off the fake english accent
This thread has just had its visa issued by Blizzard and is now free to move to the Canada forum. Best of luck to Keenan.
Clearly hasn't lost the fake English accent... https://www.washingtonnewsz.com/fbi-arrests-high-profile-fraud-running-investment-scam/
