Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] an article about nakata and man city in english: http://www.thetimes.co.za/News/Article.aspx?id=777477 it would be great, but i doubt it..
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] Yesterday, saturday, Yusuke Kato played around 20 minutes in Huracán's 1-0 defeat against Racing Club and also got a yellow card near the ending. Interesting thing is that Huracán is coached by Claudio Ubeda former, if i recall correctly, Tokyo Verdy player.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] Yeah, he played for Verdy in 2004. Also Osvaldo Ardiles, who was replaced by Ubeda as manager of Huracan coached Verdy between 2003 and 2005.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] bologna make bid for shunsuke.. isnt that where nakata played for a while? http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=755145 i dont think it will happen though..
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] Already been aggressively denied by Celtic. "We've never heard of the representative who has claimed Bologna has made an offer.... We have not received any offer ...." http://www.celticfc.net/news/stories/news_280608181859.aspx
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] even if Bologna did, I don't think Nakamura would want to go back to Italy anyway.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] According to this update, Celtic hasn't received any offers. It's probably a publicity machine from italian side planting a seed to see Celtic's reaction. One could argue it can be Nakamura ordering his agent to open up avenue to Bologna, but we know that's too unlikely to even consider. So provided that Celtic isn't lying, this has been planted by the italian side.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] That article was 100% bollix. Even Bologna's president denied ever declaring interest in Naka. Hugh Keevins made it all up. Never believe Hugh Keevins. He's a renowned liar. The Scottish media is desperate to see Naka leave.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] Yes it seems so. Besides, even if Bologna's president was the culprit, he wouldn't be able to admit to it as he'd come across as a liar for pretending to have made the offer, so he would have no choice but to deny it. Either way, it's a worthless story to me. I just can't see it happening.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] As evidenced by the fact that the Daily Ranger is still running the Bologna story on the front page -- while everyone else has made it a footnote and added Celtics' denial, Nakas' statement, and Lubos' encouragement over it. No... over a day later, the Daily still insists he's going to Italy. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] Inamoto back in training I think, and I think he has dyed his hair brown again. anyway, so bored, someone entertain me! pictures and articles from this fan website, in japanese, and i don't understand a word. http://junichi-inamoto.cocolog-nifty.com/

Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11781_3895949,00.html According to the article, Mizuno is out for 3 months.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] Nakamura is also getting surgery for a hernia, but expected back soon.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] He made a comment about hurting since March and it got so bad he decided to have this operation. Does that mean he's been playing in the reserves for 4 months in pain?? Jesus.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] I don't have exact dates, but I'm pretty sure reserve soccer ends about mid-May in SPL. So probably more like 1-2 months + Toulon. Still pretty extreme though.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] I'm not sure if that's been good or bad for him. On one hand he must have wanted to play as much as he can in the new environment which is a good move. On the other hand he could've dealt with it way before a new season. He looked alright in preseason though he only got subbed on very late. Last 10 min against Fulham which was alright for the given time, and much more promissing in the last 30 min against Southampton a week later. He looked like a sprinter version of Nakamura (to cut long story short). And he must have been carrying the injury throughout. I wish he dealt with it in time for the new season.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] I thought it was kind of odd both him and Nakamura returned carrying injuries they knew about and had them checked out about the same time. Overall I think it's unfortunate having an injury the same time as Shunsuke. I too thought he did quite well in preseason, but it now looks like Caddis and/or McCourt could get a shot at that position before Koki comes back 100%.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] Nakamura has something of an excuse in that he was needed at the club and at Japan qualifiers. He even had pain killers injected into his leg so he can survive the pain during qualifiers, so some sort of medical was overdue and it came to me as no surprise. Mizuno, on the other hand, is something else. Toulon is a reasonable excuse, but it's been ages since.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007/08 - part II [R] In Nakamuras' case, I get the impression Celtic knew he was coming back banged up (we all knew, but I think Celtic had an idea he had more than "a few knocks") -- but there was still a good month between Bahrain @ Saisuta and returning to Celtic. In theory he could've been checked out then and had his hernia dealt with. But I wonder how much they require him to be checked out in Scotland with their doctors and how much he wanted his time off. Ultimately I'm kind of miffed at him and Okada for playing against Bahrain. It was pointless, especially when Okada took the logical route to sit Matsui, Komano, and Hasebe -- but let's play the guy who was on pain killers for the last 2 games . Mizuno on the other hand came as a surprise to everyone, I think. But I still thought it was odd his injury only came up as Nakamura returned to the team and they trained separately prior to Porto. If Mizuno had reported it prior to leaving for Porto he would have been left back with McCourt. Was he possibly going to keep trying to play on it and somebody convinced him not to or that the pain was too much?
