As the end of the season goes its been a mixed year for Israeli players abroad, and I would say a down year for Ligat Ha'al as well.

My first transfer speculation would be that Elyaniv Barda after being one of the leading scorers in Belgium will almost certainly move to a bigger club from Genk.

Feel free to post transfers abroad and domestically.

I also feel Barda will sign with a bigger team in Belgium. Personally I hope he stays with Genk and him and Itzhaki can guide them to Europe.

Itay Shechter might move on as well. Very talented striker, seems like he can score whenever he wants, or at least get off a very good shot. Spain might be a good place for him.

Although nothing has been said and their have been no rumors, I really hope Benayoun finds a team where he will start EVERY game. Its nice to have an Israeli on a big team, but if Benayoun only comes on in the 70th minute and starts in every 2-3rd game its a waste of his talent. He should have never left West Ham.

I've heard rumors (i dont have any links, but I read it a few times) that Ben-Haim will go to Tottenham or Newcastle.

Anything about Sahar or Dudu?? Any Israeli's going to Europe?

yea it is kind of disappointing, that benayoun has gotten so few minutes, but unless liverpool lets him go or another team shows interest it looks like he is just gonna be a super-sub. as far as Sahar, he'll probably go back out on loan next year hes done well at Sheffield Wednesday for the short time hes been there, scored three goals i think, yea it looks like Ben-Haim will goto Newcastle or Tottenham, I think they will be a good fit for him.

Ron Glick (Maccabi Petah Tikva) was on trial at Toronto F.C. in Canada. Now he is going for trials with San Jose EarthQuakes and Columbus Crew...Gal Alberman (Beitar Jerusalem) has received interest from West Bromwich Albion F.C. but no word on whether they would be placing a transer bid...Derek Boateng (Beitar Jerusalem) has received interest from RCD Mallorca...Avi Stroul (Maccabi Netanya) was expected to leave for Europe at the end of the season, but now reports say he isn't going anywhere. Stroul has a Romanian passport which would allow him to play in many of the European leagues...Itai Schechter (Maccabi Netanya), wanted by Beitar Jerusalem, is apparently not going anywhere, for the time being...Maor Buzaglo (Bnei Sakhnin, on loan from Maccabi Haifa) is currently the subject of transfer talks between Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Tel Aviv...Liran Strauber (Maccabi Netanya) has re-signed with his club for the next three seasons...Shavit Elimelech (Ironi Kiryat Shmona) is negotiating with his club a contract extension...

An American by the name of Brian Scott Kuritzky, is coming for a trial with Ironi Kiryat Shmona. From what I saw when I googled him, he is only a college player from Cornell who looks very slow on YouTube. Looks like the league he played in the NCAA was rubbish...Tal Ben-Haim (Chelsea F.C.) is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur F.C. for next season...

I don't think Ben Haim will sign for Spurs. He is a great defender, but he is too slow to play alongside Woodgate or King. Spurs need somebody quicker, who can keep up with Fernando Torres, Carlos Tevez, Wayne Rooney, etc.

I hope Ben Haim goes to a different PL club. Maybe Aston Villa? Mellberg is a lot like Ben Haim and he just left Villa.

    Questions:
    - How did Bnei Sakhnin do this season? Was Buzaglo a threat for them?
    - Don't mean to question you or your sources, but where did you find about about Glick's trials with Columbus and San José from? I'm an Earthquakes fan and have heard nothing about Glick...yet.
    - Other than Sahar's goals, did he play well for Wednesday? I didn't really get a chance to see him play much.

hey guys, anybody know how is Junior Viza playing for Beitar Jerusalem? I heard he isn't playing very much and has been somewhat a dissapointment.

How much of that is true?

    Greetings

I disagree about Tal's speed. He did a fine job against Wayne Rooney in the past. In regards to your questions:

    1. Bnei Sakhnin question should be in the Ligat ha'Al thread. :D
    2. Glick's trials are on his Wikipedia entry.
    3. Sahar can be discussed in the Sahar thread. :D

Junior Viza didn't play that much. I heard that he was unimpressive in training and at Beitar you have to play really well in your first games or else people don't give you a second chance.

Yeah I forgot about Tal's "excellent" performances against Rooney in the past, but he still can't hang with Torres in the slightest. Absolutely got shit on in that game.

You're too strict of a mod! Nobody talks on this forum anyway, so why be so strict!

To be fair though, Torres can shit on anybody he likes. He will take any defender in the league. His pace and control is absolutely incredible.

IMO, Tal is a great defender. Mourinho was a big fan of his and played in pretty much every game while he was still manager. Very solid center back, big body and strong. That one play against Torres really doesnt do justice for him.

Maor Buzaglo had a great season for Sakhnin. He's lead the team to be near the top of the standings. His goal against Beitar for the win pretty much made him a legend in Sahknin.

Dont know how Sahar really played, but it looked like he started every game since he joined them so thats gotta be a positive.

Sahar scored 3 goals including the go ahead goal in the final game of the season for wednesday. He also started 8 games and had a couple of sub appearences. Also just wondering, with all of the moves at Barcelona, any chance that Assulin gets a chance to play, or is he still too young. and will he stay at barca?

Well since the Barca B coach is now the coach of Barca, Gai might get called up, but from what I've read on Barca forums he'll stay another year in B and then get called up.

FC Twente reportedly has some club officials in Israel right now, trying to hammer out a deal for Toto Tammuz to join their club. They are interested in Gal Alberman as well. Both have release clauses in their contracts for European clubs.

This could be a good move for Tammuz. I am not sure though how important it is for Gal Alberman to go to Europe at this point in his career. He could stay at Beitar Jerusalem and try to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. If they did, then he would wouldn't be missing anything (except maybe a pay raise). Tammuz on the other hand is a bench player for Yitzhak Shum, so this could be the jump that his career needs.

Toto Tammuz is staying put. They are unwilling to pay Beitar Jerusalem the amount they want.

Ben Sahar is indeed wanted by NEC Nijmegen, but has not decided where he wants to go yet.

Armenian Under-21 Karlen Abramov, a Jewish footballer who plays in Uzbekistan will be joining Maccabi Tel Aviv on trial.

Laurent Manuel, a Jewish American of French descent will be rejoining Hapoel Tel Aviv for another trial.

Oţelul Galaţi of Romania is in talks to add three Israeli footballers: Shlomi Arbeitman, Ze'ev Haimovich and Ravid Gazal.

Baruch Dego is in talks with FC Lokeren of Belgium while Omer Golan wants to leave for a larger club.

Really, because none of the Israeli media have caught on to this. Besides, how common of a name is Karlen Abramov?

He did not sign with Hapoel, he is simply joining them for another trial.

Is Sebastian Abreu going to come to Beitar? Is Baruch Dego leaving Hapoel Tel Aviv? I'm pretty sure Ben Sahar has already confirmed his loan to NEC Nijmegen.
