So this is the new forum, no need to put NSR in the thread titles anymore. Anyone watching Calzaghe-Hopkins?

AMSOLUTELY stank up soccer this morning- missed 4 decent chances 1st half and we went 2 down. The team managed to get a draw almost without me as I was more of a hinderence as the lone striker...
Played first game of American Football season after that, and with the tiredness kinda stank too but sumhow got the game mvp for several "passes defended" (fancy talk for case should have made a bunch of interceptions but can't catch:rolleyes:), hardest hit (mostly why my head is ringing) and kicking the winning extra point....
So I come here and have to go looking for my beloved NSR, which is a glowing example of why democracy is NEVER the answer!!!
    :p

Right, so since there's a new forum we need to come up with a new set of rules. I'm pretty easy going so let's keep them relaxed...but we do need to set some boundaries of posted content. Ideas?

    Rule:

Case and Apps playing grabass should be bannable.

I got back from England/Wales yesterday and holy god do I feel like garbage. I guess getting in at 3am and having to be at the airport at 830 wasn't the smartest thing to do. drinking my weight in beer in 3 days and not actually having a proper meal probably didn't help either...

    any hockey fans here?
I'm pulling for Pittsburgh, but I"ve got a feeling that the Red Wings will take the Stanley Cup.

along with that, I'm getting more and more upset everyday with the US dollar losing value by the second. want me some sg adipures but they're not for sale at all in the US, and adidas doesn't have a reason. they're nice, but i'm not up to spending nearly twice as much as a pair of firm grounds.

I don't mind playing it on PS3, but it's a little bit more difficult for me to get into watching it.

    political rant below:

So I just finished a research paper on Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. for a history class of all things. The professor decided to replace an exam with a research paper on Obama because of the class's substandard grades (in which reflects on his teaching ability). The more research i do on Barack, the more i believe that he is a great fraud. He is charismatic, good looking, and articulate. He knows what to say and how to say it. People love his "Hope and Change" speeches. He claims to be a blank canvas to which Americans can cast their views. he believes in equality (even if it effects the economy a la capital gains tax). He is an amazing story in itself. Barack is the FIRST African-American to have a viable shot at the oval office. He is the media's poster child. and yet the public still doesn't know where he stands on issues.
Somehow we neglect to hear he is the most liberal voter in Congress. How on earth then can he be a great unifier with two distinct factions? We can't use his middle name because it's Hussein. We pardon his connections with admitted home grown terrorist. We believe he wasn't at church when his preacher spread hate against America (which is not a crime in itself, but your allies can be your biggest downfall). In a speech given in my hometown, Barack talks about the hope for America and change for Americans. he then ends the speech with "I can't promise change". Why don't we hear this? He claims his campaign is not about race but 90% of black voters pull the lever for him. We constantly hear about equality. If he is truly about equality then i dare him to repeal affirmative action. call me racist if you think that i am one but the message has been said before. Barack Obama is only a contender because of his race.
it's noticed by others as well. The world has yet to understand the workings of Obama's head, but when the day comes, we will be utterly scared.

equality, like democracy, is a naive idea that only works until u think about it for like 5 seconds....

Apps 0-0 going to OT isn't the worst but a shame we didn't score, although if it were 1-0 after the pen the complexion of the game changes with Barca going a lot harder than they did...It's going to be interesting on Tuesday both teams will need nerves of steel because both will be attacking all out. The return leg is set up to be a classic, hopefully we get to see that. I think the crowd will be electric would love to be there that night it's going to be immense.
