All the defeatest gooners who kept tellin me u were gonna get destroyed....well in honesty u shuda won that game, except you played the 2006 adebayor up front... Man U didn't look like scoring from open play and u really, really shuda. Man U struggle against teams with pace at the back, as 75% of their goals come from their forwards being quicker than their opponents....
I actually don't think it shud be a peno, I mean sure the rules say it is but it makes no sense how a ball harmlessly on it's way thru to the keeper can be accidently deflected by the arm to no advantage and warrant a peno. Still, the main thing is cheatski are less likely to win the prem becoz of it, and seeing baz lurmann getting beat, then getting booked for moaning that he was being given another chance to save said pen, gotta love it!

Oh and guti just got booked for being a prick. Kinda makes the day complete:D

Gallas tried to control the ball with his cock, served him right he's been asking to give away a pen like that for ages. And what was that he was moaning about giving away penalties so soon after scoring?

Well tomorrow should be interesting, getting the results of my MRI back. I think I'm going to be told that even with an op I can't play again, but guess I'd better just wait and see.

Just wait and see what they say, they might surprise you! Like Gallas with his cock! ;)

I honestly didn't think we'd pull it out of the bag today! But glad we did! :p

Well that's pretty much done it in all honesty, United can afford to lose to Chelsea now and win the League provided they beat Blackburn next week.

I'm upset and possibly a little bitter over the game yesterday. Arsenal played with style and a passion that I hadn't see over the past few matches. It was a good match to watch but ManUtd pulled through. It's life I guess. If you asked me way back in August if Arsenal were going to be in the title race, I would have told you that 5th would be lucky. I had no expectations from this team. I thought we were too young and not settled with the loss of Henry and Dein. The world looked dim in those days. This team absolutely made me a believer in them. I admit that a title would be nice. A shiny cup in the trophy case would have been better. Again, such is life, but I am happy. Thank you Arsenal for the joy and heartache this year, it's been worth it.

I stole this clip from Arseblog. It's exactly how I feel about the Arsenal right now.http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=55MFxXS-Ans

Evenin all. Not very happy...got my MRI scan results. Appears I was right to request a scan 8 months ago, I have been walking around on a severed ACL all this time and I now need reconstructive surgery on my knee. To say I'm not best pleased is an understatement.

Well here's what the consultant said (it was the actual consultant this time, not one of his f#cking lackies)

    1. The ACL is gone. Blown out. Detached from the bone and is floating around doing sweet FA in the knee at the moment.

    2. One slightly awkward twist and it will dislocate again and stay out, so it needs some sort of special brace. Knowing the NHS though they didn't have it at the time when I went to the medical supplies office, so I have to WAIT FOR AN APPOINTMENT to pick it up (unbelievably).

    3. Until then (this is funny) he wants me to go back ON CRUTCHES!!!

    4. He's sending me to a surgeon named Paul Allen who has written multiple books on knee surgery and is generally recognized as the best knee surgeon in Britain. It's going to be day surgery (IE have the op then f#ck off home ASAP) and he reckons with the time it will take for me to get an appointment to meet with him and discuss what he's going to do, then have the op, it will be around 2 months down the line.

    5. I will then probably be on crutches for another 6-8 weeks, then can start physio and rehab to get back to fitness.

They basically say it could give up the ghost at any moment so since my Mum's a solicitor I've asked her if there's any way some paperwork from her could "hurry it along" a little :p I'm so pissed off but this surgeon is GOOD. Example - he along with his understudy wrote a 700 odd page book about knee surgery. Can be found here on google to read for free. He's not quite Richard Steadman but the best in the UK anyway, which is a start.

Wow, that really sucks Skizz. The good thing is that you'll be able to play again. Knee reconstruction is pretty common these days just make sure you don't cheat or skip out on your rehab sessions. Don't rush anything you do.

I hate to say it to you but read the chapter in Roy Keane's book about his surgery and rehab, it offers some great advice about pacing yourself.

Gazza rushed himself back and his career went to shit, Roy Keane played another 7 years at the highest level, take it as you will.

Cheers for the support ppl. It will get better I know, its just annoying that it's taken them 8 months to find out what's wrong with it...if they had just given me the scan when I asked I would be playing by now

Skizzit, I hope everything goes well and you have a good recovery. :(

My friend tore her ACL in maybe the 3rd game of the season last year (a week after another teammate did hers in the first game), and she was just able to play again this year. Then, playing basketball, some girl ran into her and tweaked it, and now she is actually TRYING to tear it again, so she can just get surgery, again. She has awful luck.

My ankle is finally chill, I think. Had 2 weeks off plus spring break, so 3 weeks, I came back to practice yesterday, as a non contact player, and did fine. I just hope I am cleared to play in our match today.

cjump- what's your paper on, and what book are you reading?
props to you for tackling both in one night. personally i go for coffee if I've got a long night ahead, but the tea may have been more refreshing. i'll have a 10 page paper on Vonnegut to do in about a month. and of course i'll be doing the majority of it the night before.

whooaaa! who banned the av skizz?
i'm pretty sure the majority appreciate it, and someone just needs to get a stick out of their ass.
regardless, i'm also pulling for you to a quick and healthy recovery. friend of mine tore his last spring, and was in full health by the fall for our school season, and was tearing kids apart.
