From viewing the first two matches with Lee Nguyen for Randers, its seems like he really miss alot. Dont think he have done not more than one good move- He lacks speed, defence ability and not least fighting ability. And for a player earning around 20000$ a month its really not good enogh. But hope it will better when the weather and grass improve

He's not going to grow by 2 inches by late April (or whenever it is spring arrives in Denmark).

He has just arrived and Randers have not been doing well after the winter break, so it was perhaps not to clever to let him play from start in a match like this, when they knew it was going to be a more defensive minded and physical fight for every ball in midfield.

Well, how did he do? I know he went 50+ minutes and the team won but did he play good?

On scorecard on 1 paper he got a zero(really really bad) . But i will say he made his best impact so far. He fighted this time, took corners and freekicks. But still needs his big break. But as i said before Randersfc havent played well sofar this season, and off course its not easy to be one of new guys, when things dont work. Again the weather conditions make it hard to play nice ball. U can check this website for resumes of superligagames. (not sure it works outside Denmark)

What will we do without the unbridled optimism?

PS. Highlights do work. You can even see the orange ball.

He got a shoulder injury of a kind, no report about how bad, he played the last 5 minuts of first half with the injury, and was replaced in the break.
Will John is still playing on second team, no reports about him for this weeks loss.

A shoulder? Not good. Especially if it is the shoulder that he had surgically repaired. This injury could be something to keep an eye on. I hope it is minor and Lee was taken out as a precaution.

Will John came in for second team win 4-1 and scored to 4-1. Lee Nguyen is on team roaster for sundays match against Esbjerg. Havent been training much during the week because of the shoulder injury. One player will be taken from roaster after saturdays training.

    (in danish)

Will John has been demoted to the youth team.

The general manager says that seeing as John can't expect any more playing time with the first team he will train with the youth team.

Will John's 23. I don't see why Randers don't just get rid of him.

Think from our view here in Randers, both of yanks have been a big disappointment sofar. Lee Nguyen have been showing a few matches that he can something, but isnt quite good to cheat in man to man parts. And with signing a portugues u21 player Tiago Targino there isnt room for Will John on first team. But second team will need him, they play 3 best league here, and our team is just promoted. He will get alot of playing time, and hopefully get better.

    Can you elaborate?

If you are saying he isn't good in 1v1 situations, that would seem odd- that appears to be a strength of his. He has quick feet, and is mobile, and from experience, appeared to take guys on fairly effortlessly and often beat them (no fear)

I guess I could see him being less effective on D, but he always appeared tenacious enough and fast enough to make up for technical difficulties.

His station-to-station passing game doesn't seem the best, but then again- on US national team situations at all levels...our sides unfortunately don't have the skills or confident to hold the ball over a long period. So even good technical players look less effective within a marginally skilled team. Also, he is obviously not the biggest guy- so he can get overmatched physically. But these never seemed huge weaknesses to me.

At this point, I am thinking there is either something physically wrong or he has lost some desire to play (or is not in shape, or something). This is not the same kid that could impress the technical staff at PSV to sign him, and one of the greatest coaches in the world to put him on the field.

It just doesn't compute (where Nguyen is, why he is still struggling)

I saw that in the turnement in France he played on the left side. Here he had been played most of the time on right side. And the right back until now, havent been very good offensive, and then Lee needed to be standing very defensive. So maybe now he will be better since Randers just bought a new more offensive better back. Today Randers play the last preseason match. Lee is back in the team for this game. I rerouted yankdk.thebluegajols.com to my new website http://www.randersfan.com . It has translation option to english on all posts. Has trainingsposts too. Regarding Will John i think its more a matter of confidence and playingtime.

Yes reserves match. He is pretty far from first team now. Randers bought a young danish nationalteamplayer beckmann, that plays both sides. And the portuguise is also before him for startlineup.
