Why not start a thread for the top club in Serie B right now. I have been looking for an Italian club to support now for a while and this club has really intrigued me. They are a new club formed in 1998 and are located in Bergamo, about 30 miles (40km) from Milan. They share the Stadio Atleti Azzuri d'Italia with Atalanta. They only average around 2,500 fans per game, but they are now first in Serie B. I might as well get on the band wagon early and start supporting them. Besides, they have very few fans.:D

    They are quite a story.

Up until this summer when Sierra Leone defender Conteh joined, the team was all Italian as well. Even more amazing was when they first got to Serie B, out of 18 players on the roster 12 were from the Bergamo area.

This season, which will mark the 10th year since the AlbinoLeffe merger, may end in joy for the few fans of the team.

Nice little team. I've watched some of their games on giostra dei gol this season, not to mention last season when Napoli was in Serie B. They look like they can score goals. They have decent looking kits too. This squad is some proof that if you can manage your team right, have good scouts and get a good manager, you'll get success. My dads hometown team A.C. Gladiator SMCV, has double the population of both Albino and Leffe and they're stuck in the fiery pits of eccelenza

Indestructible, I checked the website you mentioned, giostra dei gol, and I can't navigate through it. I'm guessing its Italian, but how can I watch some Serie B games through the site. Links or instructions would be awesome.:)

Giostra dei gol is the weekly soccer show on RAI. They broadcast both Serie A and B games Saturdays and Sundays. As for clips, youtube is good, although there are some games that havn't been posted yet. I'm trying to find Albinoleffe-Triestina from this weekend but it's not up yet. Here's Albinoleffe vs. Grosseto.

You're right about that indestructible. Especially in Italy, where the league system isn't as complicated as the league system in other countries, like England. Like you said in Italy if you have good scouts, a good manager, and most of all a competent front office you can get far, no matter how small your team is. The front office is most important. So many of these small clubs wind up going bankrupt and having to start all over again from scratch.

Albinoleffe has been playing quite well still. Yesterday they tied Treviso in a scoreless game. However, it was good enough to bring them up the first spot in the table tied with Bologna and Pisa. Right now the table is looking tight. It appears its a five man race now between Albinoleffe, Bologna, Pisa, Lecce, and Chievo Verona. These five clubs are two points apart! This season is really turning out to be one of the most competitive in Europe this year.
