Here's a first pass at the "Confirmed YA" list for 07/08. As usual, here is my lengthy list of disclaimers and excuses: -- An American playing soccer for a team located in another country is a Yank Abroad. -- Please contact me or post here with any and all corrections, additions, subtractions, etc. -- I post confirmed players only, which means I need to see something from a club, a player, a player agent or someone I trust before I add them to the full list. (I maintain confidentiality for any players or related parties who contact me directly to the degree that they wish.) -- That said, even if you only have a "lead" please post it here so we can try to track it down. -- I have another list of about 300 players I need to go through to really round things out and be complete. Yes, I am probably low-balling it. I've got about 300 names of guys who "may" be playing somewhere now; another 50 or so who may be playing somewhere but may not be American; and then there are very possibly a good 50 Mexican-Americans playing on Mexican youth teams as we speak who will never get counted because it's hard to get good info. Plus, we'll see more players go this year I'm sure. Watch the teenage ranks for some interesting news soon. The hard part is confirming everyone, but I will do my best (with help, of course).
Add to that the difficulty in locating player information in Africa, parts of Asia, and parts of South/Central America that is in a langauage we can understand or even available on the internet and things really get interesting. But I have faith you can do it.
I'd be curious as to the confirmed totals from previous editions. The numbers appear be increasing. It would be interesting to see the year to year changes.

Minor corrections: Ferrari -the final 'a' is missing in the team name: Sampdoria Rossi - the team name is with two 'r': Villarreal, and it plays in Spain, not Italy
Vincenzo Bernardo Napoli 1990 i will be keeping a close eye on this kid. he is a very technical player and napoli will keep a close eye on him through out this year. he will be playing with the beretti and the primavera which is the reserves.

Not sure. Bayern Munich's youth team site is sorely lacking at the moment. His older brother Stefan, who played some with Leverkusen, is now a freshman at James Madison U. (and on the team).
Just wanted to make sure people knew that whoever runs MLS Underground also is now putting together a YA list. His or her criteria are a little different from mine, but he does have some players I do/did not -- for instance, he already had Botero and also a GK named Herrera in El Salvador who I will look into.
