Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos hopefully a few good seasons in the MLS can bring him back to england
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos England? I think he'll stay in the US, Chicago is a very good city, where livestyle will be close to what he had in England. I hope he does well, if not, they'll fire him.
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos si habran tantas pandillas y criminalidad en inglaterra asi como en chicago?
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos but he is not a regular immigrant living in the city, he is going to be the coach of the fire, have a house in suburbia, drive an suv, kids will go to a suburbia public school, might even go to private school.........just like JPA, you think JPA is living in Queens: Astoria or Jackson Heights, they are not touched by that, only regular people like you and me are.
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos I doubt he will be in the suburbs, players make chump change in MLS most make 20,000-30000 grand a year. I dont know how it is in Chicago but in New England that is almost grounds to be on welfare. Only like 10 players make 1 million dollars and their is a salary cap on players who arent dp and make over 1 million. Think the highest paid players in MLS who arent DP dont make that much either tho I do know Toja is rackin in 100,000 for playing in Dallas. Unless Chicago is offering him a home and private school for his little ones Osario isnt going to pay for that.
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos Osorio will be the coach, will make more than a regular player, I'm sure he'll get a house, maybe we should drop by when he moves here.
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos here is the list for last year: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/sports/mls/longterm/2006/mls.salaries.html I'm assuming the least known players, less time in the team, younger players do get the chump change....11.000? heres another list: JPA is third with 1.6M Leading the way in 2007 is David Beckham. No surprise there. He will earn $6.5 million to play about half a season for the LA Galaxy. In another galaxy, players making the league minimum will earn $12,900 this season. You could do better pouring Slurpies all day. What a disgrace. Going through the list, here are the top 10 salaries I could find. My eyes might have glossed over a player or two so let me know if I missed someone. Top 10 MLS Salaries in 2007 1. David Beckham, LA Galaxy, $6.5 million 2. Cuauhtemoc Blanco, Chicago Fire, $2.7 million 3. Juan Pablo Angel, New York Red Bulls, $1.6 million 4. Claudio Reyna, New York Red Bulls, $1.25 4. Landon Donovan, LA Galaxy, $900,000 5. Eddie Johnson, Kansas City Wizards, $875,000 6. Freddy Adu, Real Salt Lake, $550,000 7. Carlos Ruiz, FC Dallas, $435,000 8. Clint Mathis, New York Red Bulls, $410,000 9. Taylor Twellmen, New England Revolution, $350,000 10. Twellman, Taylor NE $350,008 (Edit: I missed Twellman on the first look) 11. Carl Robinson, Toronto FC, $315,000 You can see that there have been a lot of changes since the 2006 list. 1. Juan Francisco Palencia, Chivas USA, $1,360,000 2. Landon Donovan, Los Angeles, $900,000 3. Eddie Johnson, Kansas City, $875,000 4. Juan Pablo Garcia, Chivas USA, $624,260 5. Freddy Adu, D.C. United, $550,000 6. Josh Wolff, Kansas City, $420,357 7. Clint Mathis, Colorado, $410,000 8. Eddie Pope, Real Salt Lake, $394,688 9. Tony Sanneh, Chicago, $365,000 10. Carlos Ruiz, FC Dallas, $360,00
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos Some of you are funny thinking he's going to live in the hood. Anyway did he get fired from Man City? Or did he go to Colombia so he could be a head coach? So how much was he getting paid by Millos did it have him living real well? I think hes a good coach and did well with Millos with an average squad. We will see how he does with a depleted Fire team.
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos what is the average pay in the Colombian league? is it more than 12k a year? and im talking about the average player, not the Galvan Rey's and such.
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos cost of living in Colombia and Cost of living in the USA is very very diff. When I go to Colombia I spend a month there pay for everything and its like 1000 bucks living the high life. Hotel De Prada think its what its called in barranquilla is only 80 bucks a night and thats their best hotel. Food is 5 bucks for a few beers banja paisa and other stuff.Cloths are very cheap as well. ok now USA. A hoilday in is like 100 bucks and up and thats a crappy hotel. A decent meal at a restuarant is at least 10 bucks but thats just for food and if u dont drink anything and o yea tip. Insurance.... yea its a big diff. 12,000 bucks a year in US is welfare, in Colombia I am not sure what it is but 12,000 in Colombia can do way more than it can in US. I am 16 and make 6-7,000 a year with a few part time jobs and working at a soccer camp when I dont have soccer season. SO 11,000 a year I dont get how these players are living unless they have a sugar momma or living at home with their rents or if they have a frat house and all live together.
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos They have jobs. Some rookies live together. I know 4 DC United rookies were living a townhouse and shared the rent. I know I'd do it if I had the chance to play pro. Dont get me wrong it would suck but I would still do it.
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos I'm sure he'll make more than he is making in Bogota. He is dumb if he goes for the same amount of money to U.S. He has to go for at least double what he makes is like Crz said. He will be dumb to leave Colombia for 30,000 per year considering the standards of living. I bet he is already making about 30k per year or more in Bogota with a higher standard of living...
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos A TOP PLAYER in any given club in colombia clears 3 to 5 thousand a month, plus bonus for reachingf the finals the catch: every team only has 2 or 3 like that, exeptions from reach clubs at the time are atl nacional and deportivo cali (with 4 or 5 players earning that much) mid table clubs and zona cafetera teams: top players take 2.5k at max per month the rest average 1.5k per month, that I know from something I read/discuss with a guy that knows salaries there- the question is, How much can a head coach take on a monthly bases? I figure (correct me if I am loko) that head coach in MLS takes 70 to 60K per year. I
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos Hey hey hey man i live in Astoria queens
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos hey that's cool, my cousing lives in Jackson Heights, have spent many a weekend there, my parents lived there for a year, before they moved down to DC area.....my dad's cousin used to own ¡Oh que bueno! don't know if you know it, restaurant located in Jamaica Queens if I recall, never visited.....I'm not knocking it, I'm just saying Osorio and JPA don't live the lifes we do, they move in a different level.
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos he is leaving because they didn't give him the players he asked for and because in the US they will give him 20,000 a month !! Our boy will be balling haha (240,000 a year def more than what he made in Colombia) another interesting note is that he had offers from Alianza Lima and 2 other Colombian teams
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos Where ever he goes I hope he does well. He expect 100% out of his players at practice and on the field and does'nt put up with any shit from spoiled players. It's right up my alley.
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos El reemplazo en Millitos es el Polilla Da Silva. Interesante, ojala funcione. Julio 8 de 2007 Millonarios confirmó a Jorge 'Polilla' Da Silva como su nuevo director técnico
Re: Osorio new head coach of Chicago Fire and Leaving Millos we definitely have to go visit him now, he can afford a very nice pad with that kind of money, and lets not forget the SUV, Osorio!
