What? No one has posted this yet? Wizards' trialist is Eloy Colombano, a 24-year-old forward/midfielder from Argentina who has a fair amount of pace. Colombano currently plays for Defensa y Justicia of the Argentine first division and played with LP Estudiantes of the Argentine first division 2001-2006. He played in the reserve match today and scored in 60 minutes of time.
http://www.eldia.com.ar/ediciones/2...2&svnum=10&um=1&hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-us Here's a nice article on him from 2003. An interview. Don't have time to translate/relate it all, but there's one interesting part: "Claro después vino todo muy rápido. La convocatoria a los preseleccionados Sub-20, el debut en Primera y además ser uno de los 14 pibes que conformaron el equipo "sparring" que Marcelo Bielsa llevó para el Mundial. Esos fueron los momentos felices para Eloy Colombano, porque después todo se trastocó con un bajón en el rendimiento físico y futbolístico y una fractura en el pie." After '99, he was in the pool of players for Argentina's U-20 (not an honor to be scoffed at) and was one of 14 young players that Bielsa used as "sparring partners" for the Argentine national team ahead of WC2002. He broke a bone in his foot soon afterward (and things haven't been the same). Though he says that by 2003 he was fully recovered. Article mentions how fast ("fugaz") he is. He was so fast that, even though he wanted to be the enganche (#10), his coach made him an attacker.

considering he's still only on trial and hasn't signed a contract, I'd say no for Sunday and probably Wed
We desperately need help scoring. Anybody know what the hold up is on putting this guy on the field? If it's paperwork related, the FO should hustle so we can get him on the field at HDC on Saturday. We have a stretch of games coming up that we should get points from, but only if we resolve our lack of finishing issues.
if it's paperwork, the FO might not have any say in it. It could just be in the hands of the US government.
FYP (subliminal messaging for any govt. employees who might be reading this thread to learn about Eloy). Oh, and in addition, Attention Mr./Ms. Government Employee Working on the paperwork for our new player: I wanted to bring to your attention what the effects of a speedy resolution to whatever remains to be done in regards for Eloy Colombano to become the newest member of our team. Whenever everything is in order I can assure you that the number of heart attacks and near heart attacks suffered at professional soccer matches in the state of Missouri will be reduced significantly (you can proceed to put this on your resume if you so desire). You will also make many people who happen to stand in section 102 and look very dashing in blue very happy. There's also a rumor that getting this done in a very timely manner could go a long ways towards world peace, curing cancer and feeding the hungry worldwide, although these rumors are unconfirmed. Thank you for your time and consideration. If you have to work late in order to get this paperwork done by tomorrow, please feel free to post here with your favorite pizza toppings and delivery address and I'm sure we'll be able to get you something to eat.
