That's basically just a JW highlight reel. There's some really nice footwork in here. JW also seems to be opening up spaces for his teammates and playing the dangerous "positive" ball through the gaps when it's there. Cracking shots from distance when there's daylight as well. Very encouraging.

    Definitely shows that he's developing.

Also seems that he's given somewhat of a free role out wide as he attacks from the central part of the pitch often, huh Ceres?

Well, I had 16 minutes worth of highlights, but had to make some cuts, so ther is actually plenty more of JW as well as of Graulund and ofcause the two huge Kolding opportunities are also missing.

...and yes, JW moved from right to left and back again and also made some raids from the central part of the pitch, but this is all according to coach Pedersens tactics.

He seemed twice as fast as the rest of the players on that pitch.

Saw him once live against Caen and he BLEW past both Hengbart and Seube on two different plays. Hengbart is fast, I know because I've played with him, and Seube isn't slow either. But White left them in his wake.

    So yeah.....he's fast.

thanks for that video Ceres, I followed JW for awhile on the yanks-abroad website but had never seen any clips of him until now. He is very impressive. He seems like he has the whole package for a rw. He posses a skilll set that no one else on our national team has. I would like to see him tear up the danish top flight next season and then get some opurtunities for the nats.

From what I've read this guy seems pretty good. How old is he and any chance he gets called up for Copa America. I figure he's less likely than Davies, Klejstan, Hill, and the PSV guy who I can never remember but it'd still be nice to see him with the Nats.

    fast+quick feet with ball.
we don't lack fast guys, but we lack "quick with ball" guys.If White is good at tactical sense,he will level up.

it is hard to judge until he plays a better level of competition.

you r right, skill level should be judged at a quality level, but quick feet can be directly seen by his movement. In fact I'm not judge his ability but his special style in our pool.
    More different style players,more options.

He seems to be OK tactically (by the Danish standards) - makes runs and passes into space, shoots on goal when he has to, avails himself to his teammates, etc.

From the videos, he needs to get a little sharper/tighter with his moves and ball control because he won't get as much space on a higher level, even with his speed.

Do note that he can dribble to and from either side and, if he were to play a flanker at a better club (or a national side), that ability is very valuable.

Hey Coaches and scouts, the kid made a gamble to the Danish first division, did very well it seems, has gotten a lot of attention in Denmark, and his team got promoted.

That's pretty damn cool. I think he scored 5 goals and had 6 assists on the season between Gueugnon and AGF, not a bad season. Had his French coach given him some freedom, maybe he puts up bigger number, and said French coach doesn't lose his job (that's right, he got fired).

If JW parlays this into a spot in the nats. Great. I don't expect old Bob to pay much attention yet, but maybe by Christmas he's in the picture. Now that would be cool.

Well, Superliga is to be honest more like 2 levels up in compare with the Danish Viasat Sport Division, perhaps not so much tactically, but the speed and quality of opponents can not be compared with Danish 2nd level. So I'm sure Jeremiah White is going to be a bit surprised about the level of play and AGF are going to need several reinforcement to stay in the Superliga.

    The first one came today

    Kim Madsen to AGF Aarhus

AGF have signed a 3-year contract with the 29-yo former FC København defender Kim Madsen who after around 5-years abroad, had told the newspapers he was a bit homesick and tired of playing in Germany and had refused to renew his contract with Hansa Rostock despite the club just having won promotion to the German Bundesliga.

The talented central defender/right back was signed by the German Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg in the summer of 2002 for a €800,000 transfer fee, but was struck by a knee injury and after having played only 13 Bundesliga games he was signed by Hansa Rostock in December 2003. All-in-all Madsen got to play 37 games and scored 2 goals in the German Bundesliga and 34 games for Hansa Rostock in the 2nd Bundesliga. Kim Madsen has also won 6 caps for the Danish U21 NT.
    ----

No doubt a very good player, but it's a bit of a worry that he has been troubled with injuries in the past, though mainly when he was playing Bundesliga for Wolfsburg.

Players who may end up at AGF :

Esbjerg midfield engine Jerry Lucena could very well be on his way to AGF. He openly admit that he think AGF is a very interesting option and it's no secret that he is negotiation with AGF. However, he could also end up moving abroad. Lucena has won 2 caps for the Danish League NT.

Also the Viborg left winger/back Christopher Poulsen could end up at AGF. He got a clause in his contract with Viborg, so the transfer fee (only around $200,000 ) is no problem, but Poulsen has also been offered a trial at the newly relegated English side Watford. So we will just have to see what happens. Christopher Poulsen has also won 2 caps for the Danish League NT.

He only played 22 minutes against the USMNT and the Danish League NT was not in any kind of shape (No training camp or sessions in Denmark what so ever and only a few training sessions before this match when they had just arrived in the US), so I dont think it would be fair to judge him by his performance in this kind of match.

However, ther is good reason why he was picked for the Danish League NT and why Watford now also are showing interest...

Well, just like Lucena in Esbjerg, then Poulsen has been thinking of leaving Viborg this past season, so this ofcause also has had an effect on his performances of lately.

Btw, ther also seem to be something wrong with Christopher Poulsen career stats at wiki :

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Poulsen

According to 'netsuperligaen' he played 28 Superliga games (2,379 minutes) for Viborg in 2006/07, 28 games (2,435 minutes) in 2005/06 and 27 games (2,245 minutes) in 2004/05 :

He'll still be faster than pretty much any defender but won't have the luxury of letting the ball go 4-5 feet (1-2 meters) in the wrong direction and still maintaining the possession.

Now he makes a cut, toe-pokes the ball forward and, before the defender can take a step, Jerry's gone. Against a higher quality defending, those 4-5 feet will have to become 2-3 feet.

On his side is his excellent balance and ability to sharply change directions on a dime. (i.e., stop and accelerate virtually instantly)

According to the latest rumours, Jerry Lucena is either going to chose AGF or the other Superliga side AaB Aalborg, while the clause in Poulsens contract seem to have been a relegation clause, since Viborg have rejected a $270,000 offer from AGF and now seem to be asking for around $550,000 to let the left back/lwinger go.
